With a (questionable) W from James Drake, how would you rate season 5 of Fishtank?

  • 1 Star — Absolute disaster. Unwatchable, boring, production fucked it up bad, the fish were lame

C'mon. They really need to explain HOW the fuck a town can legally vacate someone and their guests from a property that they own. This is no fun being in the dark.

When they found out Sheikh Fireh' Idy was hiding in the basement, city council decided they didn't want to get carpet bombed by Israel.
 
When they were being evicted from house 1 they spoke directly to fans about the issue and warned us that there will be some downtime and to help support the show by sending TTS and buying gifts and merch.

This time Sam comes down and adruptly tells all the fish they're being kicked out again, the audience is left with no explaination and the website doesn't notify us either of the streams being shut down or that there will be some downtime again.

This leads me to believe they are gaslighting us

It doesn't make any sense that they would purposefully fuck up the show like this
When jet is in the basement talking to the camera saying "we know this is extremely scuffed" he's not lying, it is scuffed as shit.

Their revenue comes from TTS and people buying toys or whatever
Every hour of downtime is less time of people doing that

This shit is actively losing money for them. There's no way they would do that just because.

The strongest signal that this is real is just how shit it is. I know there is all this galaxy gas meme-ing going on but if this was what they intended for the show, the fallout-bit would not be so half-assed, nor would it be such a whiplash of a tone-shift. The basement audio would work and they would not need 5+hours to switch locations either.

If they are having this much of an issue with HOA's, local government, or whatever is going on, then this is probably going to be the most scuffed season yet. Going to make you nostalgic for the RV trip.

NIMBY’s stay winning. i’m not surprised they got shutdown in less than 24 hours. the town that the s2 house is in fucking hates them. some of you may remember the city council meeting that addressed concerns about fishtank and what a shit show it turned into.

I paid, I'm not mad. Part of the fun is watching them run a reality show, with no reality show experience. I don't think this is a gaslight, if I had to guess they've been swatted. If you remember from Season 2 the town council tried to shut them down while they were filming here previously.

I don't see them being forced to leave at 6;15 PM though, they do normally turn off cams when swatted though, we'll see...
