What a disappointing end to the season, I think S4 is now my least favorite season unfortunately. Even before all the moving around I wasn't quite feeling it what with the lack of significant theming and Sam not even being in character half the time.
Obviously this is all heavily up to the eye of the beholder, but I think if we take s4 for where it ended it might be my favourite after bloodgames and s1, even in acknowledging that it was an incredibly low effort season in many ways, the cast was genuinely great.

The brilliance of S2 in my opinion was the effort they put into the theme, and part of that for me is why the lulls in that season were so palpably depressing. The dim and dingy smoke filled rooms, the attack therapy sessions, and people just kind of moping around like beaten wives was dare I say almost satanic. The low points of that show weren't just boring they were sometimes hard to watch.

S3 was incredible while it was them gaslighting people about famous house, but I genuinely hated most of the fish in the downtime. These people didn't really have the excuse of being born autists or whatever (besides burt), they were all just failed normgroids who were desperate to be famous, totally fake and zonked out on whatever cocktails of pills they could get a doctor to prescribe them because life is just too hard to manage with weed and alcohol alone.

Direnc is a literal whore that smokes crack but is infinitely cooler and more likeable than stinx or mizzy - two thirty yo women who act like they are still underage and trying out personalities and fads to get famous in the big city.

His last appearance was the night of the 22nd/23rd as far as I can tell (that was the Cell), and he locked his account very shortly thereafter. I remember like a day or two later going to his Twitter to look for something and it was locked, and "head of personnel at Bloodgames" was gone too.

Looks like that was around the time he started vagueposting and stopped tweeting about Fishtank stuff directly. So if he was fired a week ago then that means they knew Bloodgames 2 wasnt happening well before any of the S1/S2 house stuff happened.

e; Him talking about cutting his hair a day before Ben appears on cam with a shaved head is also an interesting coincidence....

Blame wiggers for not getting the proper permits, it's not like this is their first fucking rodeo we're on season 4 for fucks sake.
I am legit MATI holy shit it had nothing do with permits you fucking retard. There's no "get to ignore building code" permit. They made a new "sleeping room" and it didn't have an emergency exit as per building code. That's why it got condemned. There's no amount of film permits that would have changed that.

This is actually what the cast of Fishtank was always meant to be from the very beginning. The initial concept of the show was to make fun of LA people who's dream it is to be on a reality TV show, but they couldn't afford a casting agency for S1 so they hired a bunch of autists and NEETs instead. The show was never supposed to be about autists sperging out, it just worked out that way.

Which is exaclty the sort of thing anyone running a fucking reality TV show should know. Poor widdle prod they had no idea it was the EVIL municipality that didn't want galaxy gas huffing wiggers trashing houses in quiet middle class suburbs I'm on my knees rn praying that Sam and Jet recover from this I'm buying 5 more "after dark" passes just in case :((

If this was the issue then the fix would be easy. Just go to a different house, or even just switch them from downstairs to upstairs. Boom, no more "sleeping rooms" unfit to code.

Better yet, why wasnt it an issue the first time they got swatted in S2? Prod was working and sleeping down there. Why wasn't it an issue when it got listed for sale? Why was it all the sudden a problem now?

Apparently the owner of one of the houses is already facing legal actions, or possibly "in jail" but who knows.

I also would think the remedy would be to move the matresses, but that obviously wasn't allowed since they condemned the building. So in the code, old basements don't have to have emergency exits - they're grandfathered in if built before some year - HOWEVER, if you "add a new sleeping room" it loses that grandfather status. So I think since the new sleeping room got added, the basement now has to get an emergency exit no matter what. At least, that's how it reads to me as a total layman.

Go to a different house - agreed, but they might have realized that the local gov't hates them and is going to find ways to shut them down no matter what. Total guess but given that now they're just selling all the properties and presumably canceling Bloodgames 2, it fits.
