frank and letty are calling burt a drug dealer for selling adderall lol

Burt said NIGGER while Ricky was streaming on youtube and Ricky was suspended from youtube for 1 week.

Right before this Ricky was getting nude:

Ricky was also calling Burt a faggot earlier.

I haven't been following it much but I just caught this so I thought I'd post it. The spic tank contestants were given an immunity challenge to hold cups up and the first one was eliminated because he lowered the cup. He was then given the challenge of knocking down every other contestant's cup and if successful he'd be the one to get immunity. He went to work and immediately ate shit on the slippery floor which didn't deter him from his mission.

He was also taken to a doctor right after that "instead of waiting until tomorrow to see what happens", idk if that was a jab at Jet and how he handles injuries on the show.

Something that is probably looming on the horizon for Fishtank generally is that this collection of odd people that get thrown into content creation in the wake of every season will eventually have the capacity to overtake the show itself.

And that, my friend, would be the greatest success that the show could achieve, honestly. What, does anybody really think they're gonna be able to handle more than 2-3 more seasons of this? Probably the wisest decision Sam could make right now is spinning Bloodgames off to anyone other than Jet as show-runner. Jet's shown he can't fucking manage anything for shit.

I looked into the results of this post a little. I think there are some interesting ideas being put forward.

The bulk of replies are very interested in the Season 2 house. A lot of people are asking for theming akin to Season 2 in different decades. The most repeated were 80's and 00's/Y2K. I would guess 80's is a recency bias thing with STOX ( stow-ecks ), but I also remember some of that around the discourse following Season 2.
There is less love for the Season 2 house in terms of layout, and the more interesting ideas being put forward are around making spaces that negatively impact Fish psychologically. I think That kind of consideration for the space itself is interesting and may also be relatively simple to produce without excessive experience in psychology, as there are studies on these things available. It is also intuitive to some extent.

An overly 'fake-friendly' space could be an interesting contrast given how a Fishtank usually plays out.

I think that any focus on a specific area for Fish to naturally congregate is good for the show, does not have to be this. A Conversation Pit existed in the Season 3 house but the overall location was a bit too big for it to matter much.

Some often repeated sentiment revolves around wanting them to go harder on Hellhouse, or returning to the initial pitch more. I like these ideas about making deliberately uncomfortable sets.

Very elaborate loud set design, maximum visual interest and color.

I thought this was interesting, I can imagine running a tank in black and white. Has potential. Don't even need to have good audio anymore.

This is a bit much but the general idea that is more interesting is just the oppressive environment and making sure that Fish can't avoid each other.

Not specifically a good idea, but again a focus on making space uncomfortable and facilitating specific interactions by the layout of the space itself is an interesting idea to me.

Before this post on XITTER an /ftl/ idea got some traction. It is not bad.

Awesome post, thank you for doing the legwork and putting it together.

Out of those, I think NYSEE (New York Sto Ex Exchange), Family Guy, Group Home, Liminal Space, and that "The Office" 4chan concept are definitely the best ideas.
Anything too serious or oppressive just goes against the general demeanor of the show. Even Hell House wasn't actually supposed to be super hostile; it was to make MDE fans do MDE-themed retarded challenges for a few weeks.

Some ideas for each:

  • NYSEE
    • Everyone would have to wear 2000's style office attire the whole time for it to feel right. Not impossible. They could bring their own and production can buy spares. Casual Fridays.
    • Would need a consistent "day trading" game that involves audience interaction.
    • WTCwave soundtrack would be sweet
  • Family Guy
    • Makes for the easiest goofy setting
    • Odd but clean color choices make for good contrast to the chaos without being overwhelming. S2 was good, but it was so unique that the destruction got a little lost
    • Cutaway skit challenges
  • Group Home
    • Basically full blown leftist kindergarten, would definitely be a perfect followup to the marketing and aesthetic of S4
    • Punishments would be funny. Could get more and more cold and cruel for the creepy factor
    • This would REQUIRE a very good, super tall actress to play the role of some kind of Coordinator. Make her a psychopath that sounds very sweet but doesn't tolerate "hate"
      • Getting other contestants in trouble with her would be a constant goal
    • Overall this would make a very fun, creepy season with a ton of flexibility. Perfect for social media clips.
    • Aryeh must return as a contestant, non-negotiable
  • Liminal Space
    • A lot of possibilities here, but a major problem: "liminal spaces" lose all of their intrigue when populated with noisy autists
    • Would, at the very least, need to shake up the formula to enhance the strangeness
    • Otherwise, this would need to be making fun of the "liminal space" concept as a whole, may get old quickly.
  • The Office
    • Definitely the least creative but the most wide-open for challenge ideas and chaos.
    • Office attire at all times like NYSEE
    • Working phones would be funny. Viewers can spend like $200 to call contestants at their desks and start microchallenges
    • Working laptops for employees, (no internet and can't be fucked with)
    • "Ben from HR" hosting meetings with custom powerpoints after every big crashout
    • Freeloaders are temps
    • Fish would have to have actual jobs to fulfill that require them be at their desk for a portion of the day.
    • Eliminations are "layoffs" from "budget cuts"
    • Jay Goldman
    • "Bring-your-child-to-work day" (baby doll challenge)
    • Snack Machine system for in-game earnings. Would give "stat bonuses" (or abilities) like a Perk-A-Cola machine from CoD Zombies (really love this stupid idea)
    • Extra: Office parties, office pranks, fishbuck "bonuses", write-ups, promotions, desk ornaments as gifts, break room, fire drill challenges, water cooler chat
If you can't tell, I'm clearly partial to the Group Home and The Office themes. I just think Fishtank humor fits them best

I always thought a summer camp would be a good setting.
Two teams and two cabins and a outdoor area and have it play mostly like what I remember survivor was like.

Part of what makes FT so great is the juxtaposition between the theme vs what’s actually happening in the house. S2 and 3 did it the best with their themes (70s and generic reality show house) and I think next season needs an actual theme in the same vein. S4 felt odd because it didn’t really have one besides being “scuffed s1”, but it also didn’t reach its full potential because of the cancelling.

Oooh gimme a fishtank with inflatable furniture... It's like the next level of the bed-breaking that always happens, but funnier.

Imagine Ben coming in and yelling at someone for popping the fucking chair, throwing a new, deflated chair at the fish, and then popping a second chair as he storms out.
Pinterest tells me this is Y2K, but I think it's what zoomers see as Y2K. But I like it.

I want some obnoxious colored rooms again.
And space tank (real)

Summer camp / boot camp would be funny. Make them do things like try to grow food, make a fire, shoot a bow, trust falls. The only problem would be audio since the only good way to do that would be to mic each person rather than room mics. Maybe Xaiver can make the Bloodgames setting 80's-00's camping horror.

My dream idea for the tank would be FI-Shop,a 24/7 convince store that sells food and merch to real people and intentionally annoying freeloaders. set up the cameras directly how a grocery store would. Make them sleep in wage cages.

Love all the interior design ideas.

Personally I would have thought that exercising / sports would play a bigger role than it did. You could get (basement dwelling) fans, get them to lift, do cardio, play some skill based or team sports, eat healthy, go to bed early and make them wake up with sunrise - tension would be high because you just know the typical NEET hates all those things. Progression/competition is built in, reward those who stick with it / improve the most. Personal trainers, yoga teachers and that shit have pretty low hourly rates too, if the wiggers are too lazy to do it themselves. Watching fatties/nerds/spergs struggle through a zumba lesson or fail to prepare a salad gotta be entertaining. And if you are not that mean spirited, you can root for someone who might actually improve their life by getting some exercise and good sleep hygiene.

Lol and with the wigger luck we can watch osha show up immediately and suddenly give a fuck about a convenience store
