While I think the harland stuff is a bad look for sam, I doubt there's any bad blood formed from the chimp out. Harland isn't ever the type to let up or give up on a bit which absolutely saves the show. It being filmed the day of the LA premiere is also interesting, I'm sure that didn't help the nerves. I also hate that they bring around damiel everywhere. Filipino flesh homunculus is so allergic to actually being funny in conversation. People saying this ruins sam's chances at rogan, and to that I say if those two fatherless men ever get in a room together they may pull out each other's throats lmao. He's in an interesting spot now where he actually has his foot in the door with a lot of these big LA types. That EP mention by Gillis on JRE was very generous and nice of shane, but it'd honestly make me anxious as hell if I were sam.

  • A few Harland non-sequitors later Sam asks, “Is the whole podcast like this? Is it just straight nonsense?”
  • Harland then asks Sam if he likes nature. Sam says no. Harland tries to throw out a nature fact about gorillas anyway: that gorillas make nests in trees every night when they want to go to sleep.
  • Harland says he’d love to see Sam make a gorilla nest
  • Sam says “Right here?” and then trashes Harland’s set, destroying or at least disconnecting all the mics by flipping over the desk.
That sounds hilarious on paper.

That podcast shit was brutal. I think Sam is deeply insecure, and these podcast appearances always seem to shine on a light on his worst attributes. The only one that has worked was the Matan interview.

Legitimately embarrassed himself. I like avant-garde and think podcasts are a great platform to perform, but Sam doesnt do that and its not a "bit" that Im somehow not understanding.

I think Sam CAN be a funny guy (on podcasts) and probably has some interesting things to say, if he had the courage to say them. If you dont want to do that, and you want it ALL to be a bit, then it has to be a funny one. But you cant come on a podcast, then act like youre too cool to be on it, not take it serious, but also not make it funny or interesting.

There were a couple of times where Harland REALLY set him up with a layup, Sam took the bait, then fails to finish and you can just see his "FUCK THIS" meter start to go up when he realizes he has to bail on his premise. He cant laugh at himself or pass the ball when he doesnt have something funny to say. He just gets pouty or pissy.

Sam Hyde went on the Harland Williams podcast to promote Extreme Peace while in LA. You should watch for yourself because it’s awkward and entertaining. Here’s a summary. It’s slightly biased against Sam because I think he came off bad here.
I watched this interview at work and it seemed pretty obvious to me that Sam doesn't enjoy being the butt of a joke or when it comes to fucking with people, he doesn't like being the victim of it. you would think for someone who has built a career off being a troll, sam would've done better with him.

also, i love how he gets mad when harland finally brings up his show just to censor where you could watch it lol

After watching the Harland Williams podcast I came to the conclusion that Sam is really the "world's onlyest child". He seriously can't go back and forth with another dude when he's not in control. I promise you Sam was the worst kid to play with on the playground because he'd get mad when anyone did anything that wasn't what he had told them

You nailed it. There is a part near the end where Harland asks a stupid question about how MDE got where they are today and Sam says, "Youre making fun of us..."

SO NIGGA?!

Make fun of him back or laugh it off and answer the fucking question.

The things I want for s5 is a tighter elimination system that has more flexibility just like most other reality tv shows. Fish don't compete to eliminate each other but instead compete for immunity just like in s3. The eliminations should be decided by vote just like s3 however instead of voting for just one fish they vote for two. Whichever two fish gets the most votes has to face Goldstriker and convince him why they should stay in the Fishtank over their opponent. In the end Sam makes the final decisions over which one goes home. There should NEVER be any eliminations decided by audience popularity.

Stay away from casting hardcore fans, go the s3 route for casting the fish and aim for the most gullible and ignorant people from backstage or whatever. Fans that want to be on the show will be more useful as freeloaders than actual fish. This is a mentality I really wish the wiggers would adopt. Fish are much more interesting and funny when they don't fully know what's going on, this was a major part of what made s3 so special. Fish can lose their charm very fast when they know all the lore of the show and whatnot, me personally I ask myself why I'm watching these people try and pretend to be shocked about the show they watch 24/7. Watching a fan try to do the disability challenge when they've seen it every season already vs someone who never knew they were going to have to pretend to be retarded when signing up for the show. One is much funnier than the other.

I would also like to see better implementation of challenges. Keep some of the old ones, obviously the Cell stays for every season, but also try to add some new challenges too. Not every past challenge needs to be repeated every season. Maybe if you take a break from the Disability challenge for a couple seasons it will be more exciting and fresh when we eventually do see it return, just as an example.

I'm not too concerned with a "theme" I honestly think they should just focus on getting a new house, and make sure that Sam has a new Goldstriker persona to mess around with, s4 not having a new Goldstriker character like the other three seasons made it feel much more boring and phoned in. Fishtank is what it is, it works when implemented well. It doesn't need some elaborate theme every season imo, the further out you go with the themes the bigger chance you have of alienating the audience.

seeing sam get upset over that reminds me of when drench called him gay and sam got legit upset over it lol. sam is incapable of laughing at himself. you would think a comedian knows how to take a joke
