I'm happy to announce that I've fully revised and completed the first part of my Fishtank writing. A pdf of it will be attached to this post.

Officially titled "The Fishtank Treatise Part I" (credit to @mister fireworks for the name idea) the work is basically a micro exploration of what content is and how it can be identified. It is 92 pages and ~40k words, representing a small portion of what I have written up for the past two years.

Under the framework I've written up, the work treats content as an object with definable properties. I attempt to separate mundane actions from discernable pieces of content. From there, content is split into three major criteria depending on the properties it has and how it derives its entertainment value. Lots of new terms and definitions I make in order to get the point across.

I should say that this work is analytical and theory-dense. I'm not commenting on the show or writing a review, this is a full-fledged theoretical framework. Kind of like economic analysis but for something as useless as Fishtank. Editing was a pain in the ass, and I went through like three different revisions in the past month alone so sorry it took so long. Part I does not focus on any specific season, it is almost entirely about what content is since content is the foundational axiom of the framework that's been built.

I hope it's enjoyable or at least coherent. I'm going to take a long nap now.

I think it’s important that Burt fans stay quarantined generally but if production doesn’t put aside their pride and bring him back somehow they’re retarded. Burt is a money making machine.

I know Burt is a complete degenerate. But a year later, is there a valid reason for him not being paid fully besides Sam/Jet sperging out? They platformed the peak of what they lampoon and the fanbase loved him. It’s not Burt’s fault that MDE fanboys like black fags

could someone explain to me why kiwifarms says vtuber viewers are pedos and need to be executed but anyone that watches this content is Based? how does Sam explain kicking off the gay dude for pedo vibes but this is ok? this is the most pedo-baiting content i've ever seen and its genuinely ruined my day. if this "little girl" had any concept of introspection she'd rope.

These are not new STOX but twice renamed ones. First they were the S4 contestants, then Sardine Tin 2 people. This re-obfuscation was done early October already (during Battle Chat). (Which is totally against their initial vision they presented where people would be "trading" contestants for forever, but they probably forgot who was who and are too lazy to restore them properly...)

The only recent site changes were in regards to items. Jet is slowly adding in the cross-platform items from the upcoming Bloodgames game. There are also functions in the code for sending items to your in-game basecamp and checks for if you own bloodgames on your profile.

they're also killing most flavor from old items to make them super generic or updating the art to match the game visuals (eg. "Smashed Monitor", "Queso" or "DVD Box Set").

this is entirely speculation but given that Jet is pushing himself reeeaalllyy hard recently to add these items we might see this game drop sooner or later? and this probably also means that they've been holding back the release of the edit to go alongside this.

I might be in the minority here, but I don't really give a shit about "bloodgames" games and the episodes. If I feel nostalgic I could just watch the clips on YouTube. It's not like bloodgames was shoot like a typical fishtank season so I doubt I'll be missing much.

What Jet should be doing really is focusing on making S5 or another bloodgames season. I noticed he has this tendency to work really hard on another project that goes nowhere like the fishtank merch or that first game that went without an update until now. Considering how retarded the fishtank fanbase is, I don't really blame him for not wanting to wrangle another retard for a new season, but considering how Sam Hyde had already put the responsibility to be the head honcho of fishtank to him, ignoring a lot of his fuck ups and all, It would be wise if he just do his main fucking job for once or branch out like the other wiggers if he couldn't take his little r9k posts being mentioned by someone again.
