With a (questionable) W from James Drake, how would you rate season 5 of Fishtank?

  • 1 Star — Absolute disaster. Unwatchable, boring, production fucked it up bad, the fish were lame

Both Burt and Josie (as well as plenty of other non-fishtank names you'd recognize) cameo in the new Mewgenics game.

Alex Stein recently did an interview on Opie's podcast, that being Opie of Opie & Anthony fame. If you're not aware, Opie now streams to like 30 people and maybe makes a couple bucks in TTS superchats every time he goes live. Stein mentions that he's been filling in on a local Dallas radio show on a station called WBAP and is probably going to get a job offer there pretty soon. He also mentions that he's working for some right wing station called Real America's Voice. I don't think he will be hosting s5 bros.

thank fucking God. i do NOT want a whole season of Alex Stein. also when i first started reading your post i thought we'd be getting Opie on fishtank, lmao. the guy is a lolcow in his own right, and you're honestly being generous with your 30 viewer claim. last time i checked he was at 12, and one of them was probably Anthony Cumia.

i always felt like Alex Stein as content as he can be, doesn't fit the vibe of the show at all, he is too political and not in an edgy/funny way

Besides mayb Liquid Chris and Venti are the fishtank people the most obscure?
Saw so many retards bitching about the Kleins in it when its like literally every single eceleb ever doing a "meow", what a stupid thing to be upset about.

thats prob the most random list of people i have ever seen, honestly quite the achievement to managed to contact them all. its a full spectrum all the way from very mainstream famous people all the way to fringe underground people, including some pre-internet ones

He definitely was during Season 3 and Season 4. Fishtank may benefit from a host that is actively in the basement watching the show and taking notes, rather than showing up once every few days completely clueless about what is going on and freaking out when its not going according to his chud sensibilities. But we all know Jet and Ben's social network consists only of losers like Mints and Chip so they have zero options for a good host and its just going to be a meme one like Alex B or Rachel that they're going to be off in the closet feeding lines to.

Bitching about Ethan and Hila is insane when the real Chrtisn Weston Chandler, the mother fucker, is right there. And did they get the real Liquid, the fucking cancer doctor? Insane.

I'd say Burt and Josie are the most niche, but I also don't recognize a good chunk of these people.

And somehow I doubt Jet would NOT be the host.

There are a few names I don't recognize in there but FT has to be one of the more obscure subsets.
That roster of cameos is such a beautiful thing. Odd freaks mixed in with notable and obscure people of all walks of life. If you can't see the beauty in that you are lost and there is no hope for you.

Opie as host would not be that much worse than Jet. Come to think of it, Jet is a lot like Opie: An unfunny talentless hack with a huge ego that caught lightning in a bottle by riding the coattails of his much funnier creative partners. I'm here for it.
 
the more they talk about the host thing and make a big deal about it the more i just think it's gonna be sam again.

it's either gonna be sam or some z-list e-celeb or d-list actual celeb.

i know it was a troll dono, but ice poseidon would unironically be perfect for fishtank host since he knows how to run a content house and do event streams and does them all relatively well
give him a good character to play and he'd be perfect.

They don't have the money to pay him. Last i heard he was upset he only got $5k an hour during his first live stream from the antarctic.
