With a (questionable) W from James Drake, how would you rate season 5 of Fishtank?

  • 1 Star — Absolute disaster. Unwatchable, boring, production fucked it up bad, the fish were lame

The regular episodes have also been outside editors since a few eps into S1. S2 was mostly Steinful, and reading the tea leaves he had done most of the S3 edits before he got let go.

Blood Games is done by some guy who started doing a YouTube edit and then got hired to do the official eps, I forget the guy's name.
 
In-house editing gave us Jet's Neptunian vision for the S1 episodes which were 30 minutes long, focused on stupid retarded shit (the first episode was focused on the prelude to the show lmao). So it would've had only 4.5 hours of actual fishtank content if his vision was finalized because they had this retarded dream of selling it to a network in the form of 10, 30-minute episodes.

man why cant Jet just drop the act and be normal. hes making it hard to have hope for S5. he just needs to constantly find a way to overcomplicate things and make problems out of nothing, because he thinks it makes him look cool and above it all i guess? dude just stfu and stop acting like the psycho women you bang.
 
everytime jet tweets dumb shit as a "bit" , he is 100% high as hell. just like sam uses irony to disquise the fact he is genuinely a big asshole, jet uses irony to disquise the fact that he is a massive junkie that posts crazy shit on twitter everytime he is high and later deletes it when he notices how gay it sounds.

I’ve always wondered if his vision all along was for 30 minute episodes or if his laziness made it so that is all he could make.

i don't know why people act so mean to Jet and give Sam a pass, Jet is like Sam's adopted son, why would you expect Jet to not be exactly like his daddy? anyone complaining about Jet now would have a hateboner for Sam 15 years ago. say what you will about Tim, none of his proteges have such an odd obsessive hatedom around them

He over complicates things. A space themed blood games/season is actually a good idea, but what’s the point in making it as realistic as possible? The blood games set didn’t look like this extravagant medieval village, and that was the charm. It was scuffed, but it had soul. It’s a waste of money and time management for something the audience does not care about.

You got it backwards. Bloodgames was barely profitable because the viewership was low owing to the fact that it was barely advertised before going live and also a lot of the normie fishtank watchers were turned off by RP cringe (an acquired taste for sophisticated fishtank veterans). Also it was easily the highest effort thing they've done on the show from sets to crews, very expensive (another reason why it barely profited.) which is the real reason why they aren't itching to do another.
