the difference is that "sam isn't the host" is very plausible, because he was very low energy in S4 and hates to travel outside of his area, meanwhile the subway stuff was obviously a joke from the start, jet isn't humble enough to admit he got fired

I'm specifically referring to "the new host didn't know the contestants sleep in the house lolloloolol he didnt know it's a 24 hour live stream lolololool". I personally think there was never a world in which Sam hosts FishTank if it isn't within commute distance from his house.

It is ambiguous at best. I don't see the point of a potential lie, maybe it pivots on how much contempt towards the audience you ascribe to Jet at this time. He is not above that obviously. I think it is just not clear in any direction.

They at best got a cast two weeks ago (if they got one at all) and most of the time has been spent dealing with the old properties and scouting a new one. There is obviously always some progress like Jet and Ben throwing ideas around I guess, and I don't think time wasted is easily counted in hours. A lot of things are brewing in the back of your mind at all times. I personally think they are rushing into the season though, just based on what was said during the audition streams they did. Their history is also them just winging it and going with the flow, seems they have not changed that yet.

He's using himself as engagement bait leading up to the season. He's the fan hate lightning rod and is trying to take advantage of it which is probably the right thing to do.
