With a (questionable) W from James Drake, how would you rate season 5 of Fishtank?

  • 1 Star — Absolute disaster. Unwatchable, boring, production fucked it up bad, the fish were lame

Also I highly recommend tuning in late at night, everything goes down around 3-4 am usually. They stay up drinking until sunrise and then sleep in until noon, in typical lazy Mexican fashion. Boxing match last night:

I guess 2 nights ago they got drunk and Felix made a move on Sara but she turned him down, then last night TTS convinced Sara that Felix was creeping on her by watching her sleep and touching her. She spent like 2 hours crying before Roberto brought them all in here to try and calm them down by saying there was no touching happening and if there was viewers would have sent them clips of it. The quote was apparently something Felix said to Sara while drunk or when they were arguing, probably both.

God I wish but the Season 3 house had so many drunken antics and a football field length of balconies and nobody even got close.

The iPad bot is a good idea. I say that because it's mine, though my idea was like Twitch Play Pokemon where everyone was submitting small payments to move the bot and aim the camera. Make the female fish wear skirts, they'll make a fortune.

This will probably be $1-5000 whalebait to get 10-30 minutes roaming the house, and they won't break even on it or only use it for Sam and ecelebs.

Meanwhile an entire room will be misery to listen to because it can't go on carpet.

I think that this + their marketing basically confirms what the general vibe of the season is.

Schizo theories: They're going for a content house gone bad scenario. If they're being earnest about casting fans and dialing up the gameshow elements, this could mean they're LARPing to some degree and going to make up a scenario like "8 people get trapped in the backrooms and need to compete in various challenges to escape" and we'll get a fishtank season with light bloodgames characteristics.

Or, if they're going for another gaslight season - they've figured out how to get wannabe influencers(guys like Alex B lol) and cast them for a content house gameshow thing, which in reality is just a bunch of fucked up challenges in liminal space themed rooms, and they're just gonna fuck with them again. The inclusion of brainrot in a lot of their recent marketing kind of makes me think it's this. Maybe they've pitched it as a y2k themed content house to a bunch of brainrot addled tiktok retards.

there is some evidence for the second option: their marketing is [X] days of setting up a content house, leading up to when the show goes live. the marketing and recent promo also heavily featured brainrot. AI wigger jimmy, thumbnail-slop ben, and the site rebrand to look similar to a web2.0 SNS

shit , i think you may be right with the second one, maybe the whole audition thing is just a gaslight, hmmm, then again i am not sure i should be that optimistic

option 1 just sounds boring to me even if i feel a lot here would like it, also i am completely angaist gassing up fans like that, they deserve to be tortured like in S2, just giving a bunch of degenerate weirdos a free roleplay vacation like that doesn't tastes well to me
 
a theory i have that is incredibly unlikely but i'll share it because its funny: new host is some craigslist guy who has zero clue of fishtank or its humor/culture. the crew lightly fuck with him for a couple days, give him weird instructions and so on. then on the 17th, St Patricks Day, THE CANDY MAN appears and harasses the new host until he leaves and takes over as new host.

this wont happen but this would be top 5 fishtank moments of all time.

the only part about that that is unlikely is sam coming back, sadly i could definitely see them doing the craiglist thing because it sounded like a funny bit even if it will obviously not work for more than like 5 days or so
