As people speculated, the issue was other griefers from 2b2t and not Fishtank fans. Allegedly they "went after direct family members" with "uncatagorically evil shit" and the police are involved.

So if police are already investigating this, then why leave? I honestly believe that the Fishtank crew would let him quickly sort this shit out and return, since similar things have happened where they let people come back. He did talk about how he is heckin loyal to his family or whatever, but honestly, if this were true, he probably wouldn’t get as tilted by people doubting it and would’ve gone immediately once he learned about it (as he claims) instead of just waiting it out and coincidentally leaving when he started to get shat on.

It’s also something he apparently cannot legally say? I know there are some cases where you cannot reveal specific information or evidence, but does that also apply to a basic description of what happened? Like, can you tell people that someone killed your dog over a dispute on the Internet?

I don’t know, all this shit is really sketchy and just reminds me of middle school–type excuses when kids realize just how much power bringing up family issues has on adults.
