I do think once the fish sober up tomorrow, many of them will begin banding together to get rid of Bashir again.

I thought his return was funny as hell but when he started doing his Muslim double-speak and false equivalence shit I remembered why he annoys me.
I think they should at least compensate Emma for the W they robbed her of. She beat three people pooling their resources like Landon won the drunk asshole challenge. It was not even close.

Jet should have to buy Bashir's life from her. 1/10th of the contestants for 1/10th of the grand prize seems fair. $5,000 for gathering the most plant matter. Though I expect them to just forget it.

Consequences of Bashir coming back are absolutely gonna come up in complaints tomorrow, to be fair to Emma and Drake they have to deal with way too many social consequences now that they shouldn't be.

If any of the fish were secretly planning to go on their villain arc now that Bashir is gone, well that's over. You can't patch a problem with the game by undermining a core foundation of the game. It's literally trying to induce learned helplessness in the fish for participating in the game at all. Hey fish, you're getting shocked if you do nothing or if you jump for our challenges. Nothing you do matters. I'm gonna hit the galaxy gas.

Stopped watching today after the elimination and am now caught up in the thread. Maybe actually watching theres a different vibe or something, but I’m with James Drake. Bashir as a contestant and not a freeloader destroys the game. Stuff like this is the reason why fish don’t bother strategizing.

Production tried to get Bashir to make a play and he didn’t take the chance. When you blatantly just rig the game after and bring him back then of course no one in the house is going to care about the game as much, In a ideal world Emma would’ve chosen anyone else, but the decision she made should stick.
There really is no good outcome with the hand they've been dealt. The alternative is that almost half of the competing fish are gone by the end of the first week.

I've been firmly on the anti-rigging side after earlier seasons being tainted (TJ never should have got even close to the end of S2) but I think Jet is right in that if the house is half empty then the stakes are lowered just as much as if the rules are perceived as unfair.

In this particular instance, I feel it's not as egregious since Vicky was the other main target for elimination, and was likely to go next anyway. So really the current state of the house is that the likely boot order was flipped. Bashir is also almost certainly going to be the next person shot as the other fish already didn't like him and now they have even more reason to get rid of him.

I dunno. Everything's been going so good so far, I hope they can just eat shit for the next few days, get rid of him at the next elimination and go back to normal. At least the challenges so far have been objective.

No way they're giving the power to a fish again. Vicky being on the chopping block anyway doesn't really matter. The problem is that Bashir got to go to a hotel, call his family, eat some fast food, watch clips of the show and see that James was going to axe him. Bringing him back as a full contestant is just a not thought out decision. Having the cast cut in half sucks, but that's just how it goes. It doesn't help now, but they should've had more fish to start with.

I get why some people are happy to see Bashir back, for me though it just goes back to the question of if this is supposed to be a content house or if there's supposed to be any sort of game to be played. It felt like production wanted to lean more towards the reality show angle, but we're back to square one now. The ideal move as a fish is to just get drunk act like a retard and wait for production to tell you what to do.

The rules being followed definitely add to the game but they should never take precedent over what's best for content and bringing Bashir back is what's best for content. Now we get to watch the fish deal with the consequences of getting Bashir back. We got Drake being a little bitch and constantly comparing Bashir coming back to having to play against hackers in video games, we got semi-drunk Drake telling everyone who would listen that he would totally beat them up if they tested him, we got Landon completely refusing to understand that Bashir is not a free loader and all the content in the coming week of Bashir trying to fight his way back into not being immediately eliminated the first chance they get.

I have actually been rooting for Drake for the past few days because I felt like he was handling the tank really well considering he is a uber normie but he got exposed hard tonight. He was a buzz kill the entire fucking night and then capped it off by crying that Bashir was back. I was begging for him to just leave by the time Jet finally came up to talk to him.

Drake immediately told Bashir that the minute he walked back in the house. Jet stated that Bashir didn't seem aware that Drake wanted him out.

He was out of the house for what a few hours? Plus it's the first week still, and they have been getting fed meals even if they have to pay for it (it's not like in S2 where they only could eat grits). I don't think this was nearly as much of an advantage as you are suggesting. He also seemed completely unaware of what had happened since he left - which makes sense since he's a narcissist he probably didn't want to watch since he was out.

What the fuck else were they supposed to do after Vicky walked off in extreme bad-faith(sperging about "hitting women" in a consensual slap fight and horrible paranoia stemming from the literal most mild TTS hassling bringing up her DUI's and drama with some discord harem fag she dated) - they had Bashir right there, waiting in some hotel. Vicky sperged too hard and ragequit. I imagine the decision was easy to make.

and tbh she was a shit contestant who's entire character was "drunk retard" and she fumbled the ONE challenge that played to her strengths because she couldn't take the consequences of being on a livestream and hassling the other contestants with her gross beer/piss/blood pad. her bit of hamming everything up was fucking stupid too lmao. she could've just like been herself and probably won that challenge by getting drunk and letting the crashout/gross behavior happen naturally. the sperging about "hitting women" also puts her into legitimate liability territory.

It's completely reasonable to be miffed someone who flatly lost a competition was brought back on the arbitrary whims of the people in charge. Fish are there to win money, not just play along with whatever for our benefit. I get why staff did it, and I get why viewers would be happy they did it, but holding it against any fish who has a problem with it is pretty ridiculous.

all jet has to do is gather everyone up tomorrow when theyre not wasted and say something like "we need a certain amount of contestants and vicky leaving made it so that we had to bring bashir back. we know it's not fair but it is what it is". and just leave it at that.
that seems like the reality of the situation.

im honestly kind of shocked vicky left. i thought the drunk piece of shit challenge was going to be her time.
her just randomly leaving was fucking gay

The kingmaker is not drake or emma, the kingmaker is the twins + jet + possibly anissa. Ragequithouse is in full effect, and any fish that doesnt realize where the power lies is going to get wrecked. Personally I’m enjoying the anarchic dynamic bashir’s resurrection introduced

If any of the contestant complain, sit them down and make them watch the entirety of Season 2 to see how hemorrhaging contestants can ruin the show.

I'm all for bringing back Basyir but he should've been a freeloader now that he got eliminated and therefore not eligible for the grandprize. They already did this with Trish from S2 so I don't get why he didn't do the same thing with Basyir. Fishtank is not only a big brother type of show stream, its also a 24/7 event, so you want to keep the downtime at a minimum. It's a delicate system really. Not only Jet needs to keep Fishtank viewer happy, he also needs to keep his fish motivated to do challenges and some dumb shit.

I hope James Drake can recover from this. I quite like both him and Emma cause they both offer something unique to the other fish that have winning personality like BingBong and Landon.
