With a (questionable) W from James Drake, how would you rate season 5 of Fishtank?

  • 1 Star — Absolute disaster. Unwatchable, boring, production fucked it up bad, the fish were lame

In S1 I tried thinking of ways to make it good but there's no way to really heat things up or really cool things down quickly in a normal sized house without putting the contestants in actual serious danger or locking someone in a small room like a sweat box, but then it becomes a problem filming their reaction etc. It's just not viable. I still think a wood fireplace in the living room is a simple and elegant solution. It doesn't fit the initial idea completely, but it shakes things up. There should be more fishtoys that effectively change the house's layout and force the fish into smaller spaces.

Before the elimination started, Jet had Alex do a "sauna scene" in the turned off sauna, where he said "Screw this, I'm hopping in the sauna"

Shortly after the elimination started Landon said he'd come down to let Alex out, but Bashir told him that only Ben or Jet can let him out. He was in there complaining for 15 minutes until Bingo finally let him out.
 
Emma won the most leaves on your plant challenge, she won the most plant matter challenge, and she won the typing challenge. If the wiggers don't rig it, she'll probably win this too. Elimination challenges are the single thing she's good at.

True that, but the house has really worn her down physically and emotionally. She looks like she's been in POW camp, and she's going up against the fittest fish in what amounts to a test of physical endurance. Production can only fuck this up by inserting themselves in too much. James is going to win, but I think it'll be a bit more of slog than either he or Jet envision.

At the end of the day, this is on Landon - not Bashir (or production). I like Landon as a person and he's had several funny moments as a fish, but all in all, he's a big pussy. Even when production, viewers AND fellow fish are encouraging him and boosting his ego, he's almost entirely incapable of doing anything unless his inhibitions are completely erased by enormous amounts of alcohol.

This is evident by him staying in a shitty job he despises.

Hah, yeah, you and Landon can keep telling yourself that. Production only acted like they didn't approve of it for liability reasons. And Landon should know this after two weeks watching the show + how much of it he likely has watched.

If the challenge is literally only (or at least mostly) who can move around for the longest amount of time, then Drake has a serious advantage by being in a lot better shape than this terminally online zoomer cunt.

Bashir won the keyboard challenge and immunity. Emma won the plant matter challenge after Jet and Ben told Drake the log wouldn't count and then to her it counts.
Emma never won a challenge fair and square on her own.
