Neither, it was Oddball using the midge as ball. Drake's strategy was to take Bashir out of play, and let Landon win the round.

Freeloaders chose their fish, so it goes back to Bashir losing the social game with Laura to begin with causing him to miss out on a strong ally. Also that isn't true on Vimp's part she was on the frontlines with Bashir when he tried to siege Drake's fort, she's been scheming and spilling secrets to his benefit, and she's been giving him advice and pep talks to stop him from giving up, she's been doing plenty.

James Drake got his hands dirty at long last. No complaints. It's what I've been wanting to see from him. I want Bashir to finally accept alliance Tank is dead and actually fight for his position. If he considers what James did dirty then it's time to get in the mud.
Guess we'll see what happens
