With a (questionable) W from James Drake, how would you rate season 5 of Fishtank?

  • 1 Star — Absolute disaster. Unwatchable, boring, production fucked it up bad, the fish were lame

I was salty yesterday because I thought it was going to be another instance of Landon being carried to the next challenge by somebody else, but I'll now admit it was an all time moment. James Drake, whether he's a golem for production or not, has been integral to a lot of the kino created this season. I really hope they set up the final challenge like the s2 swap Olympics so the twins can't try and skirt-by by measure of not being there.

And this genuinely mad me frustrated, is a great representation of what is currently wrong with the show. Blaine, an all time freeloader and fan favorite, is trying to let everybody know he's leaving. The only problem is all the dead weight are being loud and drinking AGAIN not actually caring about what is going on. Then the two fish who are motivated to win say heartfelt goodbyes, dunye tries to hook another person to groft relevance off of, and bongo is a drunk mess. I really hope today can hold the pace from yesterday, but with Blaine gone that leaves only two contestants who actually care about the show and a bunch of losers who are just there.

I really hope we see Blaine again. Weird porn tastes aside, he seemingly had a pretty good pulse on the show and what made it entertaining.
 
One of the best moments today was nobody gave a single shit Binx went, nobody really saw her off, no big send off like Blane.
You just knew production basically threw in the "oh and the pet freeloader is going home" in just as an excuse to finally get rid of her.
Absolutely a unwelcome guest overstaying their welcome.

Ha! I saw that too. I noticed when she hugged Letty, Letty gave her a very quick consolation hug. Like she really didn't want to deal with Binx and wanted to get the interaction over asap.
 
I hope Red Binx is considering drowning herself in the toilet, she looks pensive.

When Landon left Binx tried to play it off as a joke and that she wasn't going to go and arguing with TTS blasting at her in every room until production had to directly tell her so she finally went and packed.
Real loser behaviour.

After Bashir's explanation, they were joking about the Four Gods in Chinese mythology. Drake/Dragon, Bashir the Phoenix because he came back, Landon obviously the Tiger and the Twins are the Black Turtle-Snake, a fortunate coincidence.
 
Does anyone know the name of the song they played when they told bashir he was top 3? Sounded like Paul McCartney or the beatles. I appreciate any response. EDIT: Also they played heir of grief from homestuck during the recount, WTF WAS THAT?

Landon was a great contestant. Last night was amazing. We were watching for 6 hours, it was Kino. Ngl, Blaine going straight after was a gutpunch for me. Honestly, an amazing freeloader, one of the greats. Laura is a fun freeloader. This season has been fantastic.
 
Blaine was great but seeing leave due to the mental side of things makes me wonder how he would of went as a Fish instead of a Freeloader and if he could of handled the show as a contestant.

Preaching to the choir probably but I feel like returning fish should only be a thing for filler content like bitchtank/bloodgames. don’t even bring them on as freeloaders, give us new faces for us to care about/pool our hate towards. Landon and Blane were great and would put on such a good show for BG2, whenever that’s allowed to happen.

I don't mind it, but it absolutely spiraled this time. They brought Alex B, then brought Binx for a bit with him, then Binx brought Liquid Binx, then Letty subbed-in for Kody, then they just said fuck it and brought in dumgay
But it's not like they're being careful about who they bring in or Kimmee wouldn't be there, jet has said himself that they're just bringing on whoever at this point

Unrelated, but I kind of have a bad feeling that we're going to get nontent or mild Hell House for the next week and have a three-way finale - nothing with stakes will happen until the last days, just "haha dude look we brought in some guy you know!"
