With a (questionable) W from James Drake, how would you rate season 5 of Fishtank?

Because Ben is an unironic sadist weirdo and thought he would be like Alex B. I imagine their online footprint was similar and Ben figured he would freak out and spiral like Alex, and fixated on him after Alex B's legendary s3 melty
But JDrake has his shit together, at least enough that he knows not to powerlevel too much in front of 10k people on a livestream, so now Ben just looks like he simped for some random z-list actor for 3y.

I think he's a good archetype that helps round out the show and is one that is likely pretty hard to get onto the show. It would be less fun if there were absolutely no normies with egos. If he isn't lying about knowing nearly nothing about fishtank overall that's even harder to get. I'd bet most people in his shoes would do some research.

Every first impression of Alex B is he's obviously insane and/or on drugs. James Drake's first impression is that he's a normal actor guy. There is no chance Ben ever thought James Drake would be like Alex B.
 
Ben has a crush on James Drake just like Burt. Think about it, both names start with a B. Ben has been trying to get him on for three years. Burt was in season three.

disagree here, his online presence is just as cringe and tryhard as Alex's monkey-king cobra kai shit (pre-tank toned down version) just without the obvious signs of drug addiction, which is the secret sauce to alex's craziness.

Maybe they were aiming for the vibe of an S3 normie fish with no knowledge getting dropped in with a bunch of fans? Something like the S2 setup, but with someone who wouldn't be as likely to quickly drop out as JC. James mentioned the reason he didn't go on S3 wasn't because of the email fuckup, but because production kept delaying so many times that, when they finally had a set date, it clashed with James' schedule making his movie. With how popular some of the S3 fish ended up becoming, that seems like a connection that'd make sense for the wiggers to try salvaging.

But seriously, I don't like how he has the constant need to moralize to everyone, fish, freeloaders, production. He comes off as thinking he's above it all despite choosing to be on the gay retard torture show, and thinking he solely should be the one to change it for what he perceives as the "better". I don't like how he complains to production (although he's getting better at not doing that post-doorgate). And I also don't like how he kind of pretends to not know more about the show than he does (though also that went out the window last night during the cringe challenge). And he's an annoying ☝️ :geek: guy who is too spergy to get that not everything needs a "akshually" explanation added to it, he showed that a lot during Jeopardy but he's been at it all season. Lastly, and no fault of his really, his fans are annoying, some of you guys joking about being his 5th wife or whatever have to stop. That shit is gross.
At the end of the day I think he's probably going to win because James Drake has been losing it hard the last few days and is just kind of a nothing person, I'm not gonna cry about it but I'd prefer it if the twins won instead.
