I've had jobs where I work alone at nights, no one there but me. And women come back, often alone, and when I'm the only guy there, it's surprising how much attention I've had from women way out of my fucking league, and also how lucky I've gotten with them. But when other guys are around, I don't get attention at all. Maybe it's because they have no other options, but that's not even true, any woman can go on Tinder and get a hook-up within the hour. So there's something more to it. (I've heard the same story from other guys who have done my job in the same environment).
