Largest fan following during season 1 for multiple reasons, including creepy guys, and then has streamed consistently with a few breaks ever since. Season 1 was different because everyone was really excited to learn more about the fish outside of the show so there was a lot of hype around "What will they do next?!" with everyone. Only Josie has persisted from that. I'm sure a lot of current watchers have simply worked her streams into their routines at this point.

Vance was the second most successful streamer outside of season 1 and I think didn't stop until he worked on season 2. Letty streamed sporadically and had an abysmal start which probably demotivated her but then she found her footing with the Ice Poseidon & Friends.

Oh yeah everyone thought she was Japanese at first so all the weebs latched onto her immediately. The season 1 video quality was bad.
Jon called her an Asian girl at the start of Season 1.
The most interesting thing with Josie post Season 1 was the Simp drama and her stalker Bad Ideas losing his fucking mind and going full schizo.

The biggest thing about S1 that a lot of people either weren't around for or just forgot is that Fishtank was initially a way for Sam to help smaller content creators get a kickstart by giving them an absurdist platform to express themselves and create a fanbase for when they leave (correct me if I'm wrong). This idea was clearly scrapped for S2 onwards (and might've even been lost mid-S1 in favor of Hell House), which drastically changes how the show is run and how fans participate.
Was it for the best? Honestly, Idk. I'd like to see how the show would have progressed with this same idea in mind
Have the following seasons been more entertaining? Most definitely.

I completely forgot they brought in a financial and career advisor during S1 until I saw this post. Everyone wasn't sure if it was a bit or not because of how much random shit was in S1.

I always assumed it was a bit because the advice he gave them largely sucked.

I don't think the intent was to lift people up but they wanted to do it incidentally. Sam and Jet wanted everyone but Simmons to walk off the show better than they went in.

These were deadpan bits that landed flat with most of the audience but in my opinion were really funny due to the fish themselves. Jon in particular.

His advice did suck but on the one hand it was so dry and unfunny most people clicked away, on the other hand that is the exact type of bit Sam and Jet find hilarious to pull on the audience. So it really is hard to say fully in my opinion.

It's not like most of the advice they actually gave the Fish were particularly any good.

Minus telling Josie not to apply get an LLC for her streaming career. That was good advice.

Jon sitting there elbows on knees doing the Andrew Tate hands and nodding while the fat Cominos said random stuff about diversifying income and Jon goes “I haf a dwopshipping business” had me dying.

Does anyone happen to have an archive of Day 3 Director Cam for Season 5?
I have a complete 720p (I will do 1080p if I care later) of Season 5 Direct Cam, but I am missing Day 3. Day 3 got nuked off youtube (Idrm why). If you do please reply here or just dm me, thank you!

I will post the archive when either I give up searching or someone provides it so I can add it.
Just an fyi, the full archive is probably around 400 gb

Yeah the issue was most nu-MDE fans are retards who thought Sam was giving them real life advice to do dropshipping. It was funny watching Jon get completely sucked into the bit and try and exchange business cards with the dude after.
