Seems like they learned something from the Season 4 fiasco though. I wonder how many people cancelled years-old subscriptions because they dipped out after 2 weeks of S4 and didn't say ANYTHING for at least 6 months.

Sure but its always been Jets thing, since Day 1. The original concept was Sam's but Fishtank is Jet's baby.

You're right, but Sam stopped talking about Fishtank on PGL around the same time too. It's just a handful of things that led me to thinking that Sam distanced himself. It's still fanfiction on my part, but I don't know if we'll ever get a straight answer. He just seemed really put out with the show.

I think the simplest and likeliest answer is hes just bored of it. Sam strikes me as someone who will get real into something then get bored of it and move on to his next big idea. For that reason we should be somewhat grateful to the wiggers for keeping this creepshow going.

Casting vulnerable people is one thing, but making a contest intentionally targeted at their mental illness to intentionally make them relapse is a different thing entirely. The fundamental difference between this forum and fishtank is that the forum's point isn't to intentionally cowtip and interact with the cows, the cows make themselves look stupid and you just point and laugh at them. Some people come here to request personal armies and cowtip and they get shunned. Some still cowtip regardless, but it's not accepted as normal.
The entire point of the show is to take people with weaknesses and exploit them. It's nothing but cowtipping, or even making otherwise normal people into cows, and torturing them.

Ok just spitballing here, and I’m mind poisoned from my riotwatching phase(s) but this is my retarded idea if Jet wants to expand Fishtank viewership a little and organically hook some kick, ip2, and normieish types, no e-whores or nontent involved: Portland Andy.

Give Portland Andy $X for every hour he restreams Fishtank on his multi streams. No obligations to comment or engage, he just gets paid for the time he has it visible on the grid alongside his usual stuff. Andy is also experienced with avoiding copyright strike due to music or content related strikes, muting or blurring when needed, or he can just choose to pull the plug on the Fishtank stream if needed and come back to it later for more easy $, so no risk to him. This also avoids siphoning viewership away from the official streams because most of the time it will be either tiny and muted or marred by the constant stream sfx and music and chatter. If and when something interesting looks to be happening, he and viewers will notice and unmute for however long before returning to riots or police chases or news or whatever. PA does not stream 24/7 so viewers who get interested can visit the official streams later without missing their chill booze and weed hangs.
 
What i would like to see in future seasons is all the freeloaders confined to a room at night. This would then build a rivalry between fish and freeloaders as they are fighting for an audience. Also allow them to outright win money challenges like s1.

Saw this clip on twitter of wettys streeam, dunno if it had been posted here but "we cant force the audiance to like Kimmie and binx we tried" really just proves production/Jet kept around Binx knowing full well nobody liked her and tried to force people to like her.
Horrible stuff really, coulda had Frank and Xavier but got Binx and Kimmie
