With a (questionable) W from James Drake, how would you rate season 5 of Fishtank?

Not just chudettes and not just Nazi spergs in general. It's even a big joke on RW Twitter "Never ask a White Nationalist the ethnicity of his gf". If we think about, last night was a perfect distillation of Jet and his relationship with fans. He attempts a moment of levity and transparency to dispel rumours and get someone back only for a fan to come in and divebomb it because he thinks "the content was bad". Total Fan Death. Whenever someone crashes out about Jet seeking a new audience I will point to this moment as a crystal clear reason why I would do the EXACT same thing.
 
Dunye posted some texts with Zilla (Pinkhotmess, who set up the twins website) and Kayla, their older sister. Apparently he got them in contact with her to set up their website and what happened is that the twins mom had a boomer moment, logged herself out of it and proceeded to freak the fuck out thinking they had gotten scammed while everything is actually fine. Please keep in mind that Dumbgay is a gay black bullshitter so take everything with a pinch of salt until either the twins confirm it or more stuff comes out.

Gross wigga sex aside you have an overly optimistic appraisal of Jet in all of this.

I'd like to point out that Jet coming off of what you said was a realization that he was "too old for this" in Clav's club seemed pretty content to sit around with awful loud music and 20 something yo pill heads now that he was a backstage v.i.p. with free drinks. They talked to Christ's bus driver who was too zonked to put together a sentence for like an hour, if it weren't for the Diamond Gang kayfabe it would have been total nontent.

Maybe he did want to clear the air with Abi, maybe he invited her because Letty wanted to hang out, but you're attaching all of these positive motives while they are airing out actual personal dirty laundry for content. Ultimately she was invited for content, and they got content from it.

I'd like to know what audience you think he's courting by going to Clav's club or linking with Jack Doherty? You're talking about underage kids obsessed with looksmaxxing and using 10 year old incel terms like foid. The show has its audience because of what it is. It doesn't have a big brother audience because it isn't big brother.

I mean he's personal friends with Christ and Acid, and they're both friends/collaborators with the wider MDE sphere. Why wouldn't he feel at home? Almost everyone there knew who they were it's their crowd.

It was ironyposting which just didn't play out well I don't think there's anything deeper to it in terms of audience capture. At the most you could stretch it to say they might be trying to court some Kick tastemaker to fund the next season with a blank cheque instead of operating on much tighter margins. Jet just realised the bit was gay and cut it, and him running the Gang War RP with Diamond has been much funnier.

I think they're trying to gauge how many people are authentically Jet/Ben/wigger antics fans, and how many are there for the show and just rolling with it. Streamstars et al sucked and was proof chasing an off-season house with the casting pool they have is a morbid idea. Bitchtank was the only season I never watched so I can't speak much on it, but I imagine the viewership wasn't too much different to what they have now (and they clearly want to fix the house up, not fuck it more). I don't mind them going at it in this fashion to see if it clicks, and most days it honestly has.

Now that its open, he's accussed of milking it for content. If you're him, its a business decisions then: What is going to be best for the show.

Closer to normie tier people, or at the very least, an audience that isn't going to doxx and harass him at worst and at best criticize his every action not out of desire for him to grow and the good of the show, but simple low tier internet bloodsport commentary culture. Because its not just about Clav or Jack or whoever, it's the generic stream viewing audience, and thats a move that has to happen or the show dies. Simple as.

Last night he said he was frustrated that saying nothing/"taking the high road" wasn't working, that people were just running with their own rumors and accusations so he's decided to be more open. Later he told Mints not to end the stream yet after the Abi stuff because it was all good content.

Tbh there is definitely a vacuum where trashy, controversial but entertaining 2000s style reality tv used to be. Modern reality tv has been taken over by hall monitors who whine about everything and the shows are boring af now. Fishtank has a good chance of being an edgier version of what Big Brother used to be, if they adjust and play it right. But all reality tv shows face constant doxxing and harrassment now so I don't think he'll ever be able to get away from that

A much better example of what I mean by this can be summarized by two seperate fan interactions yesterday, and I wish I had the clips of the first to really drive it home:

The first was at the family fun center. They bumped into 3 20 something young men, well dressed (for 20 somethings), have jobs, just wanted a handshake, quick selfie, and tell Jet how much they loved the show. Then they left. The end. The image of "normie".
The second was Unemployed. I don't need to elaborate.

The first encounter represents what I mean by "normie". Old Row wearing young men who yeah, want trashy reality TV but are post-woke, whatever you want to call it, tired of politically correct schoolmarm entertainment. They are (probably) never going to doxx you for kicking their favorite lolcow off the show or try and markypost when they meet you. Looking at it completely objectively, with what we know about the current audience, why on a personal level and from a business perspective would you NOT pursue this demographic?
