Apparently the Smike guy used to make Skyrim videos before fnaf came along and the people who emjoyed those are not happy with his choice of only doing fnaf bullshit that everyone has heard.
Yeah, those are the rabid Smike haters who are just as bad as he rabid Smike lovers. I love how they chastise him for milking Five Nights, when before he was just milking Skyrim. His channel was bullshit all around, really.

I never saw his skyrim videos so I wouldn't know. I thought he like showcased mods or something.
Anyway, he's got himself a system and it's clearly getting people's attention, good or bad

His Skyrim videos were probably better than his Five Nights videos, as they seemed to have a semblance of effort put into them and were actually different every time for the most part.

When he turned to Five Nights, his channel basically turned into a headquarters for FNaF spergs. You could probably find a good handful of stuff worthy of mocking in this thread just by going on some of his commenters' channels.

Hello, and this is Bugaboo with another installment of fnaf masterpiece theater.

The Resident Evil movies where successful in terms of box office success, but I do believe that most fans of the games hated them.

The FNAF movie, like other video game movie, will just be an attempt at cash grab, taking advantage of a popular franchise and milking it for all it's worth. Not to mention that the fans will overanalyze every detail of it like they do with the games 'story' and sperg out when it doesn't live up to their expectations.
Really I just wanna see the effects, everything else is just a bonus.

More on-topic though I did my semi-daily run through Hot Topic and all the FNAF shit is sold-out. Looks like it actually is happening, god help us.

They're actually merchandising this now? This game is just gonna keep on getting more annoying.

Good news Walmart does not yet sell FNaF shit yet. Taking bets now on when we'll see the merchandise at Walmart.

I'd say when the movie starts being promoted (like, around the time the first trailers are released).

EDIT: Some examples of merchandise:

Have you ever wanted a creepy-ass glow in the dark shirt with a disembodied Freddy head flashing a pedo smile? If so...please stay away from me.

EDIT II: Why does this exist?

Are FNaF conventions real? I've heard people joke about them, but I feel as if those actually happen. What would they do there? When you think about it, there really isn't that much that would happen at a convention.
The game is done by one guy, so you couldn't have huge panels or anything. Also, there are only four games which are more or less the same thing over and over again, so there wouldn't be that much to discuss. And there isn't that much licensed merchandise at this point, so there isn't much to buy. And the movie hasn't come out yet, so...you get the point hopefully.

I don't know if a FNAF convention ever happened, but I do remember a reddit thread from a while ago where someone asked about making it happen. A lot of people disagreed because of all the kids and furries that would show up.

I feel really bad for the director of the movie:
Fans are asking him about Five Nights shit every waking moment.

It'd probably just end up like some of the real early brony cons. Just a small little hall with people dicking around, with a couple vendors selling general stuff, confused children (and parents) and neckbeards acting all creepy and neckbeardy.

Although since unlike brony conventions, FNAF doesn't have the creepy cult-like "love and tolerance/we are a serious social movement guize" shit so it'd probably just end up a furry convention with more children.

I don't care how talented the movie director is, I don't think there is any way for the movie to please the fans. 1) these people are too attached to their head canons and 2) these people will over analyze the hell out of the movie and nitpick for minor details to complain about.

It's why I tend to see a video game movie as alternative canon, sort of like a retelling using a different approach if you will. It's why I still like movies like Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat, and thought the first Silent Hill and RE films weren't too bad and okay popcorn flicks. Also House of the Dead was hilarious, like a Plan 9 sort of hilarious.

My guess is that it's gonna be a critical failure, but might be a financial success considering how the games seem to make children interested in them. Question is that will it go with a "darker" approach, or will it be a "and then a skellington popped out"? The latter'd be fitting and funny, let me tell you that.

So, uh, so some people take their FNAF shipping concepts very seriously.

How does this even work? Besides demented headcanons, the most interaction these characters have between each other in-game is maybe killing each other. That's...very romantic?

Good God that is some tremendous autism.
