So I think I've figured out an explanation for some of the plot inconsistencies. As a warning, this will be very long and some of it will just be my own theories, so take it with a grain of salt.
As for other issues, Scott was probably just trying to bait-and-switch the fans to keep the fact that it's a prequel a surprise. There were three "incarnations" of the restaurant. The very first was called Fazbear Family Diner, as Phone Guy mentions on one of the later nights. They used the old animatronics, the ones seen in FNaF1, which is how Phone Guy can say he always liked Foxy. This restaurant closed and was abandoned for a while, until they were bought out and re-opened as the restaurant seen in FNaF2. The new owners went all out making new animatronics based on the old ones, as well as new characters. (Balloon Boy and the Marionette) The fact that the new characters were given facial recognition abilities and synced up with the criminal database suggests to me that there had been killings in other restaurants, and that they were trying to assure customers that they would be safe here. Around night 3 of FNaF2, someone (implied to be a former employee) stole a Freddy suit. The fact that there's no endoskeleton in this suit and the mention of it being used for birthday parties would suggest that this was a mascot suit that an employee would put on to entertain the kids. Whoever was wearing the suit lured five kids away and killed them, probably in a back room or storage area. He then hid the evidence by putting the bodies inside the old animatronics, figuring no one would find the bodies there since those animatronics weren't in use. The other animatronics probably witnessed this and, as Phone Guy mentions, they started seeing any adult as a threat. Based on that, my theory on the Bite of '87 is that an employee or other adult got too close to a kid for an animatronic's liking, and they attacked in an attempt to defend the kids. News of the murders had quickly gotten around, and coupled with the Bite, they were forced to close down. The restaurant re-opened a third time, but this time they had a very limited budget, leading to the issues with electricity, etc. They also scrapped the "new" animatronics and went back to using the old ones to avoid another incident happening. Cue the events of FNaF1.
Sooo has anyone else seen a naked ass endoskeleton randomly wandering around in a few rooms?i was switching through cameras and I suddenly just saw it standing in the prize corner looking at the screen. I checked back later and it was in my air vent. I don't think it ever tried to get in the room but it just showed up in a few random places and it really fucking freaked me out.
Maybe it's that weird tall purple man you see in those old games that pop up sometimes when you dieI have. I've seen people theorise that it only comes out when the Puppet does, or only on night 6, but I saw it on night 4 while the music box was still playing, so that can't be right. It's probably just a distraction or something.
I just got the game and I was on night 2 when I saw him. I just went to check on the music box so that Chucky Cheese slender man wouldn't get me and it was just standing there. I think it's like a spare Freddy skeleton because it has blue eyes and round ears, but either way it's really freakinf creepy.I have. It might be the fnaf2 version of the hallucinations. I don't think the bare exoskeleton attacks or even sabotages anything does it?I just got the game and I was on night 2 when I saw him. I beat Night 4, and I'm waiting to stream Night 5 with a friend. Wish me luck, people.
Let me know if you find a good strategy. I'm too lazy to watch.
I'm not recording it, but I'll tell you what I did if I win it.
Well I sorta meant in the sense of something that's just there to creep you out without doing damage. Maybe the exoskeleton can't attack since it'd end up being treated the same as the player if any of the others saw it...Nope, harmless (so long as it doesn't distract you that is). Personally, I think that while there are hallucinations in FNaF 2 (Shadow Bonnie for example) the exoskeleton really is there.

Or maybe everything at Freddy Fazbear's pizza is just an asshole and the skeleton didn't want to wait to put on a suit before scaring you shitless. But after seeing that I'm just glad all the characters actually wear suits, because seeing a whole army of those things would be freaky.Well I sorta meant in the sense of something that's just there to creep you out without doing damage. In reference to Luigikid, the worst LPer I've ever seen. His camera takes up half the fucking screen.

@ Sanic, "Dying to Foxy on Night 1" should be a metaphor for how bad someone is at something
Worse than DSP?
Well I gotta see this now!
Yep, DSP is the 2nd worst. I'm talking Five Nights at Freddy's 1, btw. Check Luigikid's video, he dies on Night 1 a few times, I think.
