I don't know man, While Freddy does have the eyes. You don't see him in the the trailer chasing you like a villain.

IMO they made the trailer like this to keep Freddy helping you a surprise. You can see you have the fredbear watch in the trailer, and see how much power Freddy has. (in the trailer it is 100%).


I don't think they rushed the game fully, maybe towards the end of development hence it being super buggy, and the ending just being bad, and Vanny taking a back seat to grandpa pewpaw.

If anything the games biggest issue, is that it was just poorly thought out.

I also hated how they did Vanny dirty, I thought she was gonna play a bigger role and be menacing but you only really dealt with her in the beginning act and the end.

Also felt like it was lacking so much content with how long it took to develop and what you see in a fnaf game. other ones will have secrets, minigames, or extra content that have you play it again or continue after beating it. Once, I beat Security Breach I never came back to it cause there was nothing else to do.

I don't know if it was steel wool being incompetent, understaffed, or scrapped versions that caused it to happen but I honestly don't have hopes of the 2023 dlc being anything worthwhile.

I am not one to go to bat for SB but it does have a few mini games and secrets you wouldn't find or care about on the first run of, and might go back to check if you care about the laughably bad lore. Now I do think it still lacking in content department even with them. Hell they cut 9 holes out of the mini golf game. likely do to rushing the game.

Personally I think it might be a mix of all 3 reasons you give for why SB turned out the way it did.

Incompetent understaffed team, who likely scrapped versions.

Plus when the cutscenes are actually finished, they look damn good (you can tell Steel Wool's led by a former Pixar employee in those moments). Maybe it's because Sun/Moon and Fred are both voiced by the same guy and he easily gives the best performance in the game. Not that there's much competition but still

There is a reason by Glam Freddy is the basis for all sorts of memes and shit. The Roxy OnlyFans one still cracks me up.

Speaking of SB and Freddy, I swear I found a chuckleworthy comic somewhere with a bunch of wine moms or something that just toss their kids out of the way to flirt with him backstage while he had no idea what the fuck they wanted. "JR's" the FNaF fan game came out a few days ago with it rising from the ashes of development hell.

The game is a mix of Popgoes and Pizzeria Simulator's nighttime sections, the latter is much more noticeable in the game but the Pizzeria simulator similarities come from the task-based night structure.

The name of the game is finding the possessed animatronic while still having to pay attention to the other ones as they will require maintenance or else you will die by their hands as well.

It does something interesting with the possessed animatronic idea while making the cameras as important as Fnaf 3 (at least for the majority of the game) and because of that I personally think it handles some of Popgoes' concepts a lot better, a game that has an interesting concept but gets held down by it.

Spoiler: (Spoiler) talking about the final night

The built-up to the fight night is really well done with the entire game being centered around how you have to repair the animatronics so they don't become violent and unstable which ends up leading to Fnaf 2 heavily inspired section.

And then this gets double-downed up when Mangle aka the vengeful spirit that you've had to deal with through the whole game, uses a conveyor belt similar or the same conveyor belt that you've been using to bring the animatronics to them so they can use their parts for its own Frankensteined body.

Also, you use Bonnie's face as a mask in this night instead of using a Freddy mask because Bonnie is missing his face.

Anyways the redesigns are a little too much of a drastic overhaul with them being a cannonball compared to Fnaf Plus' designs but that's probably in huge part due to me never being a huge fan of the Showbiz kind of style tbh, they grew on me over time well except for the puppet which is just awful though.

And the other little gripe I have is how the game ends with it feeling like either a prequel somewhere in the Fnaf timeline or a sequel bait thing with the ladder not working because of the final ending screen talking about the game and its development.

It seems that the secrets haven't been yet found, so I hope this is hinting at there's an overhaul secret night akin to something like the Cakebear one in Dormitabis.

To close this off, I do find it interested and somewhat humorous how both Yellowbear and SpringBonnie were given Showbiz style redesigns in SB, but neither of them makes an appearance in the JR's. Which does make sense cuz the game was conceptualized before the game before SB came out but just a thought I had.

I know it's a girl who possesses the puppet,this is FNAF we talking about. But the puppet animatronic is a guy. At least that what Five Nights at Freddy's: The Ultimate Guide implies by saying "his".

Would presume it has something to do with Pizzeria Simulator as the game is centered around Midnight Motorist's secret minigame.

That's where the name comes from, which stumped me at first but the game is set in the "Jr's" location found in the secret mini-game. Never really paid any mind to it as I thought it was just a bar but I guess there's some Fredbears post FNaF 3 (& 4) stuff going on with it in the community.

Now I wouldn't know what fan game the line could be lifted from as I lost interest in FNaF fan games a while back but who knows.
Either way, the game being a super prequel doesn't make too much sense tbh tho, with it having its redesigned characters, own self-contained story, and the like.

I guess it could be something similar to the Sliver Eyes trilogy Where it's meant to be an alternate universe thing but also not. That or again this is a situation similar to FNaF 2.
