That's the only thing that makes sense to me. I still think of Mark as the KING OF FNAF and the idea that he's not central to it just feels weird... like if they made a new DC Comics movie that's supposed to contain all their biggest stars and yet somehow didn't contain Batman.

Yeah, Mark does more than just FNAF stuff, so I can see him not wanting to be tied down to a single property.
Dawko's content, meanwhile, is a lot more dedicated to FNAF and similar games, so he'd make more sense as a partner to the franchise.

I actively avoid Dawko, so I had no idea. I thought FNaF was just another franchise he enjoyed and somehow managed to be the face of it.

Yeah, even though I've mostly lost interest in Mark, he's the King to me, and he's a lot more pleasant than Dawko. At least he got that appearance in the FNaF AR trailer.

I have legit never watched a Dawko video. In fact I think my only contact with him is when he cameos in Mark videos, which is rare. Before FNAF I knew him as one of those guys Mark would play Prop Hunt or Trouble in Terrorist Town with.

Kinda sucks that a lot of those youtubers don't seem to interact anymore. Mark and Yamimash seemed to be really good friends and I thought Mark and Mangaminx had good chemistry... although apparently that's only for the cameras. Although I recall Mangaminx once doing a video where she was.... rather honest about the reality of the situation.

He's doing awful for a channel with 1.28mil subscribers. I started watching him like a year before the FNaF craze happened and he was my introduction to the franchise.

.... Sigh. I wanted to respond by posting Retsupurae's classic "Five Minutes With Yamimash" video but its apparently not on Youtube anymore and because I'm on Tor the software isn't letting me upload the video directly. Epic chance for a response video missed -_-

Apparently he had his downfall a while back and allegedly flirted with a 14 year old girl while he was 24.


Would explain why his channel is dead.

I've heard of these allegations, but the story I heard is that the "14 year old girl" was a known troll who had made these kind of claims about other Youtubers, just somehow or other (I don't follow Yamimash so I'm fuzzy on the deets) Yami didn't handle the situation as well so it blew up on him a bit.

Nobody REALLY takes "hiatuses" from the internet, or goes off to go to therapy or something, they just hide out under a different name and wait for the heat to die down so they can come back.

Fnaf feels similar to the slasher films of the 80's
They started off being spooky, but then they slowly started to be less spooky and more over the top
Yet fnaf is somehow better then whatever the fuck Hollywood has been putting out for the last 2 decades lmao

That's because most FNAF games are still fun to play, meanwhile with horror movies you just sit there and watch a bunch of overrated actors scream and flail around with scare chords, flashing lights and bad CGI for 2 hours.

That's a good thing to hear.

I feel like I played myself by being a cynical dick about FNAF because of the obnoxious fandom for so long. After getting curious about the movie trailers and finding the wash your ass reddit post the other day went down some rabbit holes and ended up on the VHS tapes. I went in expecting a bag of cringe zoomer analog trash to take back to the horror YouTube general thread but I'm floored by just how solid and legit uneasy a lot of them have actually been. A lore catch up and a late night spent watching a bunch of those alone on the good TV with surround on changed my outlook on the series from let's players and teenage pronoun furries to "this is some fucked up shit candy coated in a cute jumpscare package".

I'm looking forward to playing the core collection for spooky season and Scott Cawthon is actually pretty based even if he did accidentally create the fandom.
