Five Nights At Freddy's

I think the Popgoes one came out, but no one cared.
It didn't, what actually came out was an rpg spin off of the game lmao

Still, I kinda feel bad for Kane, even though his game is the least hyped and popular out of the project, he's clearly the only one that actually gives a shit and seems to be actually passionate about it

Even before plus was confirmed cancelled he was already doing damage control

Besides, he is the only dev that does constant updates about his project and is in general treated as the poster boy of fanverse related stuff, he's also the only one that has actually completed a game without being fired like Jonochrome

He's also one of the few that is pitching new content for Scott like My Popgoes and above mentioned Chase

Emil also seems to be doing stuff and is also working with Kane and in general seems to treat it more as a side project than anything
Nikson also sometimes posts TJoC updates on his twitter but it's way more rare https://twitter.com/Nikson_Dev He apparently took longer to start working on his game because he was busy in his job working with the guys that made Dark Deception

I think it's hilarious that Kane tries to argue about the Fanverse's good values and the first fucking game he lists is the one made by a self admitted pedophile.

Oh, I see. I'll be honest, I very easily forget Kane or Popgoes even exists. I heard of Flumpty's and Candy's before the Fanverse, but never Popgoes. Aside from it being mentioned along with the Fanverse, I don't think, to this day, I've heard anyone talk about it in any detail. All I know is there's an animatronic weasel involved and that's it.

I'll keep it real, all I remember about Popgoes was thinking those plastic squirrel sisters were hot, and even to this day that seems to be the most/only memorable thing about the game otherwise.

Shortly after I made this post, he made another longer post saying why the fanverse isn't actually a failure
It's so funny how he lists games with controversies as successes. Jonochrome was a pedophile, Nikson got cancelled for being a transphobe, Emil seemed to have been done with FNaC by the time the fanverse was conceived, dragging it out just to get those ScottBucks, and Popgoes makes up 2/3 of like, all the current fanverse stuff.

The fanverse is really just a vessel for spin-off games and games that weren't needed. Emil didn't seem to want to do FNaC 4 and the games worked well as a trilogy. Jonochrome cancelled ONaF3 because he felt like he was just forcing himself to keep up with the official games arbitrarily. The fanverse feels like it's overextending fangames that don't need to be full feature games. They work well as what they are.
And I'm saying this as someone that likes the games within the fanverse, we really don't need ten spinoffs just to enjoy a game about Freddy Fazbear's but british. The fanverse could have just been a way to bring the characters into the FNaF licensing, do merch, etc, but it feels like all it's done is muddy the progress on existing games, and force other creators into drawing their stories out to make money. Kind of like mainline FNaF.

August 2020 it came to light. He admitted the screenshots were real at the same time.

After he got cancelled , he said these screenshots were "old" and that he changed his views since, it's possible he only said this to get the trannies of his ass, but who knows

I mean, they do look a lot better in the reboot though

What a shame. I might be in the minority here, but I was excited for Plus. I love a good remake, what can I say? And some of the new features and design choices mentioned were legitimately intriguing IMO.

Anyways, this shouldn’t be too much of a surprise. The FNAF community is literally entirely children and autists (which also encompasses a lot of troons/furries) so the idea that any of them could get along and do actual productive work on something for any period of time without melting down and having sperg fights with one another is… well, naive.

Huh... There's a FNaF thread on the forum.

For the record, I agree with Phil's take that Ruin is boring. It feels more like a 'haunted house ride' experience than it does an actual game. Kinda like Sister Location, which is another game that people learned to dislike. I characterize the Steel Wool games as gameplay-oriented games compared to the more atmospheric experiences that Scott made. It's a 5/10 for a different reason that Security Breach is a 5/10, but they are both still 5/10 games.

The problem is that Phil is completely retarded for interacting with his fan base as much as he did. While
Phil interacts with his fans as a streamer (that's his job), he would constantly talk to people on Twitter and in Discord servers. People kept poking him because he kept responding to them. He makes himself readily available in these communities and that fosters unhealthy relationships between him and his audience. Even though Phil doesn't want to be put on a pedestal, he tried to integrate himself into a community that did it anyway and coped by being standoffish. Stop talking to your fans.

And right before FNAF's birthday too. I hope Scott learned his lesson about recruiting people who have a history of breaking his rules.

Im all for being patient and open minded but that should have its limits
Speaking of the collaboration, shit feels cursed. FNaF Plus is cancelled, the guy behind Flumpty's was outed as a pedo, the Candy's game doesn't seem like it's ever coming out, and I think the Popgoes one came out, but no one cared.

Yeah, the initiciative feels cursed but I guess the Fnaf fanbase is known for either controversities (justified or otherwise) and/or lots of pedophiles.
Honestly not that sad to see FNAF+ go, it always felt like it was kind of uninspired. Part of the charm of the first FNaF was how the animatronics hit the right vibe of uncanny valley. We've all had nearly a decade to get desensitized to it but back in 2014 they really did look creepy in an unintended way, like you'd expect from animatronics. Phisnom's redesigns are too tryhardy in trying to be uncannily creepy. Other fangames have hit that mark well, drawing inspiration from things like the rubber faces of old Showbiz robots, instead of doing the generic sunken eyes, lots of teeth etc.
He's said on stream that they're intended to be just, scarier versions of the FNaF 1 animatronics, but he seems to miss that part of the horror comes from the familiarity of them. They feel like something you could see at a low budget pizzeria, which makes them feel just a bit more real.

This. He wasnt working on Fnaf 4 where the animatronics ARE meant to look nightmarish but the originals are still to come off charming enough so children can like them but adults feel uncomfortable.

Fnaf plus made them too gross and dirty looking.
The Chica redesign also looks awful, like a bad version of her withered design (which was legit great).
Again how anyone could hate Scott because he donates to people who LITERALLY WANT TRANNICIDE despite all the good heartedness he's done for others and his community, black and white does not even begin to describe the vision these cretins have on those who don't support their fag agenda 100%.

Because these people either dont know or dont care that people and life are complex. They were raised on social media, cartoons and games where the characters tend to be far more simple. Now, normally, your parents and basic real life fix that perspective of the world but that simply isnt happening anymore.

The moment anyone that these people like steps out of the line, just a tiny bit, then they are their enemies for life. It doesnt matter how much support you gave to them in the past, all that matters is that you wronged them and now you are a "villain" that they need to stop.
A kick in the ass usually helps fixing that but none of them has enjoyed the wonders of getting punched in the face.

Toy Chica and its consequences were a disaster for the Fnaf fandom

Wait, wasn't this Plus remake finished? And now it's just gone forever unless someone drops a mega? Amazing faggotry here, I was kinda excited.

For the time being, it's lost media.

That is assuming it ever got that far into production where we have playable builds
