I've always found it kinda funny how attached people become to their online alias and refuse to change it or use different ones, which almost always leads to them getting into some form of trouble. If you're going to use the same username or variation everywhere for a decade you may as well use your real name at that point.

Why do the people in those groups have comments from concerned steam users that date back from 2017 calling out these users as pedos???

Yes, being in miniscule steam group - one of his chosen 6 or 8, now 5 - with a dozen other pedos is the only proof against him he was in a steam group with a dozen other explicit pedophiles. The proof he was a nonce we already knew, this just added another nail to the plausible deniability angle.
