I've been in a group before that started letting trannies in, I was kicked shortly after for disagreements with an admin slurs. But if I wasn't active and didn't pay attention to the group I'd probably still have an account there and not know it. Anyone who's been on the internet for awhile will have accounts in random fourms (I recently got an email from a kitchen Knife fourm from years ago that I forgot about). So it's prefectly reasonable to get added to a group and then forget about it.

With the knife fourm I think I joined to ask a specific question in a thread. Other times some random guy I played CS:GO with will send me an invite to a group and I say fuck it. I've got like 8 different sock username and emails so shit gets hard to keep up with and things get forgotten/abandoned. Two weeks ago I remembered an old account to a fourm for a minecraft server I was in when I was 10 I went in to check how everything was and it was filled with a bunch of fucking furries.

Dear god yes. The show needs a producer who can tell it to Andy straight that he is the OBS slave who is occasionally allowed to make comments. Honest question from a non-gamer/non-participant in those cultures: I often hear people say they join all these Discords and here also say this about Steam Groups, that people join them more or less without paying any attention to them. Usually I hear this in defense of degeneracy like I'm hearing in this thread too. Why do people do this though? Why would you want to be in so many groups, if nothing else because it would be a pain in the ass to navigate? I don't get it. Never mind the fact that Flam wasn't in all that many.

I'm going to out myself as a gay retard here, but there are some games which make it worthwhile to use their Discord server, where it can useful to be able to ping developers about shit and provide feedback, pretty much how you would in any forum. I don't imagine that use-case is anywhere near common though, especially since I usually leave once I've said my piece or got access to the info I needed. I've seen how the General chats of even these places quickly devolve into cesspits of degeneracy, and I can't imagine how worse it gets out in the wild.

I also don't buy the argument that Flam often uses of 'Oh I must've joined the server by accident' or 'I never even go in there'. While guilt by association is dumb, what's more dumb is not vetting or keeping track of the communities you are linked to. Like all things internet, it's useful to imagine the real-life equivalent of your actions: if you accidentally walk into a gay strip-club, you're not going to take their business card or buy a membership, and the same goes for if for whatever fucking reason you enter a furry server or Steam pedo gang, you're going to leave and learn from your mistake. Flam's greatest sin is his lack of responsibility for his actions, as if his life is some endless gag reel of him slipping on banana peels and ending up impaled on shota dicks.
