I don't think you have to make it too high-minded to draw a conclusion like that. People fantasize about things they want but don't have, and the more detached from normal society they are the stranger those fantasies become.

For a normal, well put together guy that interacts with society functionally and has a healthy relationship with women, the 'fantasy' surrounding women is pretty meek- imagining a girl way more eager to get with him than normal, or wooing someone far more attractive than he'd likely actually be able to get.
A guy that functions normally but has a bad relationship with women begins to twist that around- underdeveloped interaction (too cowardly to ever ask a girl out, say) might develop a shallow perception and start to think of women in terms of pure sex. Likewise, someone that scores way above average can start fantasizing about more and more eccentric- or numerous, or easy- types of women. A guy with horrible non-romantic interactions (mom, female authority figures, etc.) might have those spill over into fantasy. None of these are healthy, but provided a person has some decent support structures and mechanisms, or just a bit of resolve and maturity, they can all be overcome pretty easily. And if not, they probably won't ruin your life, just make it a little shallower


The real issue comes when someone doesn't interact with society effectively and then begins to add these in piecemeal. When you have no friends, no career, no communal interaction, etc., you're cutting off many/most of the vital ways humans have come to develop emotionally. Add in the internet, and now you've got someone with the immature perception of a guy too afraid to ever ask a girl out with the bored overindulgence of a sex addict from years of cooming all over their triple monitors.
It's a new breed of degenerate picking up all the most destructive attitudes you can combine, and the end result is masturbating to the image of a prolapsed anus.

True. I did read earlier in the thread where someone theorized that Flam himself was into weirder shit and I definitely find that very plausible given how he's handled this situation. Yeah, I don't think he'll be returning to YouTube or other social media platforms anytime soon. I usually like to see a redemption arc (i.e.: MundaneMatt) but in this case I'm leaning more towards neutral or idgaf if he doesn't come back. Dr. Day was a member of the Harrogate United Methodist Church where he served our Lord in many ways, including teaching Sunday School, Ushering, being a member of the Board of Directors, and several other capacities throughout the Church.
