Let's be clear though, Flam is not very likely a degenerate, he is a degenerate. He's just not as big a degenerate as at first suspected, but still really degenerate. Take lolicon off the pile and he's still into bizarre BDSM shit and well...the mommy issues manga. Even the most charitable interpretation I can offer of that still pegs him well into the degenerate category since his other interests kinda preclude the otherwise plausible "this was a thing floating around on the chans years ago and the favorite was based on getting a recommendation in a hentai recommendation thread" explanation given the papertrail he currently has.
Even with all of that: Ralph. I don't think I'm off base suggesting that people hate Ralph mostly because he can't stop acting like a raging asshole for 5 seconds to not be insufferable especially of late, which I'd argue pales in comparison with even his confirmed degeneracy which is mostly just disgusting and hilarious, in comparison to how he treats the people involved in the degenerate situations.
So say what you will about Cup O' Boy Soprano, the only true alog weakness he has is Xanderhal for some fucking reason, but even then that situation pales in comparison to Ralph's manner of treating people in that Flam mostly just talks shit or spergs out but doesn't actually seem to cross the line, though clearly he came close and wanted to. Outside of that he seems to genuinely try to not be an asshole all the time to basically everybody else, even if his penchant for "enhanced reality" embarrasses him quite thoroughly from time to time. It's hard to really to truly hate him even if his content can be is on the boring side.
