If you disbelieve hard proof of someone's misbehavior, you could be perceived as co-signing that misbehavior. On the flip side, if you push info that turns out to be someone's gayop, you end up being a tool for them to attack another person. You could always stay quiet on the issue and wait until the facts come out, but then you would be guilty of fence-sitting. So pick your poison I guess.

In just this last month, we've seen alleged "gayops" that turned out to be real, and we've seen "real" scandals that turned out to be gayops. Nothing would be surprising.
