I think there is a misunderstanding about life ruination and why Metokur said it was bad. You won't score brownie points preaching Daddy Jim said it was a no-no. Metokur's original statement was mostly warning about the consequences, retaliation, and escalations he witnessed in the past being a bad thing a person might not want to get into, that Gator's actions probably did not merit going to such level, not that it was forbidden.
