Flight from Paris bound for Cairo disappears - Sudden malfunction or sudden jihad syndrome?

An Egyptair flight bound for Cairo from Paris has disappeared from the radar, the airline announced late Wednesday.

Flight No. MS804 departed Paris at 11:09 p.m. Central European Summer Time. Egyptair said it would post updates as more information became available.

CNN quoted the airline saying that the plane was flying at 37,000 feet when it disappeared before entering Egyptian airspace. A total of 69 people were said to be on board — 59 passengers and 10 crew.

Hopefully they all come back alive, but I don't think I've ever read a story about a plane disappearing from the radar that didn't end in tragedy. And considering it's an EgyptAir flight between two Muslim countries, terrorism sounds like a real possibility

Probably Jihadists are going to use it to crash into Berlin

Nah

Top three likely possibilities in order:

1) Pilot decided to take a swim
2) A bomb aboard the plane/missile hit the plane
3) Malfunction

If this was a hijacking we'd have heard about it by now, also with Israel next door it would get shot down real fast

If the pilot was with ISIS then he probably could strike Turkey

The french let in lots of Islams, so therefore they should all die because reasons.

Considering the fact that ISIS has killed more Muslims than any other demographic I'm inclined to agree with this assessment.

I have to ask: why the hell is ISIS so focused on France?

Initially it was Charlie Hebedo because god knows they're worse at taking criticism than SJWs, but after France went Spetnaz on their asses and destroyed a major operations cell leader following that horrible mass shooting, I think the idea is ISIS believes they're at war with France.

I mean, the plane has already failed to land at any time around its expected arrival time, so it's bad.

Yeah, unlike SJWs who stand around in a circle clicking when they are deeply triggered, Islams kill people who trigger them.

I have a feeling that a suicidal pilot caused this crash. There is a bit of a connection since a different EgyptAir plane crashed, according to reports, by the pilot pointing the airplane down to the ground. And since the plane crashed into the ocean, it makes the evidence of it (the black box) a bit harder to find.

Plane is at too high of an altitude for a shootdown.

Was either a bomb, malfunction, or a really fucking good hijacking.
You mean too far away from any enemy anti air right?
Its impossible to not miss a huge slow target, especially at such low altitude.
My bet is either suicidal pilot or accident due to faulty maintenance or parts.
I doubt a bomb passed through the screening, especially since russia lost a civilian flight in Egypt due to a bomb early this year.

The plane in theory has still more fuel for around 1-1,30 hours.
It always has a 10% fuel reserve extra on the tank in case of a diversion or weather or delays in the airport.
Since it dissapeared from radar, its possible it crashed.
Since there was not a immediate drop in altitude,i think either a bomb destroyed the plane or it was some kind of explosive decompression.
