There has been plenty of people from places like what ASU just talked about and the people in these groups progressively become worse due to already having a problem of some kind, because they were left unchecked. Just like the rat killer there was in fluffybooru, there was also some freak who sexually abused 4 little girls who convinced himself that he's been married to Amy Rose years prior that was apart of Sonic Passion.

Sensitivity to things that are morally and objectively wrong is not 'too sensitive', it shows you have a standard or better understanding and empathy for others and what is and isn't acceptable. Trying to compare what they do to extreme cases does not make what is happening any less awful, you're just pointing there are more awful things out there.

And maybe, just maybe, all of these things are things that need to be addressed (I would go so far as to say stopped; and I am someone who highly values individual expression), rather than because something is worse it should be stopped instead.

Yeah, you're not gonna pull that shit here, especially when a lot of this crap is clearly being used as fapbait.

Happy Tree Friends is violent because that's the fucking point. It's designed as a violently-juxtaposed satirical piece. Fluffy Torture shit, however, is taking an existing work (My Little Pony in this case), obstenibly for children, and intentionally modifying it so it comes as close to Mai-Chan's Wonderful Life as possible, complete with that good ol' reference to A Serbian Film. I could write a doctoral thesis statement on what might be psychologically wrong with those making fluffy works in which someone is horrifically abusing/torturing/killing the retarded, but that implies I care to actually think deeper on this.

You make an interesting point. A lot of people who identify with this stuff are going to be people who are familiar with abuse, and usually that's going to mean they were themselves abused or still are. If people are using fluffy porn to deal with the abuse, like if they gravitate towards it because something about it feels familiar to them, that would explain its existence, although it still doesn't make it any less strange to me.

I agree with this, but never really thought about it like this. Are people sure someone writing fluffy pony slash fics aren't just amateur dark and edgy writers choosing a subject that they can easily get away with writing low quality fiction? That's where my "people are too sensitive" comment came from.
 
People are always going to be sensitive because humans have empathy, It doesn't take a genius to realise whoever draws these pictures are just doing it for the shock value, pleasure for violence or edginess.

Most new people who come to the site doesn't even consider relating it to MLP, and if they do, it's because of obvious reasons. The whole reasons Derpibooru wanted to delete all fluffy pony content a few years back was, because of user backlash and it "has nothing to do with MLP now". The relation with MLP is there, but compared to how it was a few years ago, now, it's almost non existent.

That type of content is horrific and deeply disturbing to just about everyone. A person should not place things on the internet that most people find disturbing and then complain that people won't accept them.

Right now you simply sound like a person trying to argue for it. There are no virtues to this art form and there is no beauty or redeeming value in it.
