For those of you that drive, what's it like having a car with a working door handle?

I have been without a working door handle for about 5 days, and I've forgotten what it's like to not have to crawl into the passenger side of my vehicle.

As a result of this, my wife has left me, my dog has died, and I have contracted diabetes. I wish to just be regaled by healthy people of the halcyon days in which a person could unlatch my driver side door.

Ok. Picture this. You approach your car. Against all better instincts you walk to the driver's side. You grab the door latch and pull. There's a satisfying click as the latch opens and the door swings outwards allowing you to gracefully slide into the driver's seat directly bypassing the passenger side entirely. You don't even have to unlock the passenger door if there's nobody with you. It truly is an amazing experience that really amplifies the whole experience. Exiting the vehicle is similar. You simply pull the door handle on the inside and the door swings outwards allowing you to easily step it. It's just simply marvelous.
