Form an orderly line to complain about the new style

Scratch that, there’s two separate fonts for usernames and posts. Also, there’s a bit too much contrast between the background and the text and it’s a bit harder to read as a result, though that might just be my shitty eyesight.

Some other things after playing with it for a bit:

There's a lot of real estate on the left and right side which isn't being used for anything besides the background. I don't know if it's possible, but having the posts take up much more space would be easier to navigate.

It would be nice if "Watched Threads" could be accessed by hitting the tab specifically rather than only on the down arrow on "Forums."

It's a little difficult to tell the difference between threads which have new posts and threads which do not. A different color or shade (such as green for new posts or a darker gray for read threads) would be good.

The difference between read and unread alerts is barely noticeable, only a slight difference in the background's shading. Changing the text's size or color would be helpful.

I believe this was also on the old style, but making the ratings menu two or three rows rather than a long horizontal row would be more convenient.

Lastly, and it's just my personal preference, but the slightly blueish gray for all the boxes is a bit too glum for my tastes. It's just me, but I'd like a warmer gray along the lines of this.

I like it. And I'm not just being nice. It looks very sleek.

ETA I'm on mobile

This is significantly better, but an option for classic grey and green instead of navy and green would be sexy. Links should be a different color as well instead of light grey, it's difficult to see them if your screen is on low brightness or if you have weak baby eyes.

I feel like there should be a border seperating each post and the user. Posts just blend together and sometimes I have to do a double take if I'm reading two paragraphs or not

The font has not changed.
I'm seeing something that's clearly Palatino. I see Quattrocento mentioned in the CSS, but no matching web font seems to be being loaded by my browser, so it's falling back to Palatino. Maybe you're seeing it because you have that font installed to your system or something?

EDIT:

EDIT EDIT: I tried to insert the above as a thumbnail by using the option under the "Insert…" menu on the attachment, but it's showing up full size anyway. Don't think it's putting in the right BBcode.

Tbh I don't mind the a e s t h e t i c too much but is there a way to make chat auto-scroll?

The serif font is ugly and the transparent boxes are causing visual clutter. Basically just made the site really hard to read.
Looks like @Null has addressed the opacity issue, which is a great start.

I agree wrt to the serif font. Hopefully this is just temporary whilst Null tweaks the new theme a little more.

Edit: font is now much better.

I don't mind the color scheme or anything else really, I just think everything's all very W I D E now
One man's W I D E is another man's T H I C C.
