The font in the header menu could really use some downsizing too.

Regarding post spacing, looking at Bob Barker's post it definitely seems like contrast between post body and background directly behind it is more likely the issue than the actual spacing between posts.

Yeah a green box around posts or something and making unread thread titles green and its good until the next thnig I want to bitch about crosses my mind.

Yeah. Kind of like how it used to look where the green was for unread threads as well as the board titles. Makes for a nice contrast.

It looks alright but I'd bump the opacity on the boxes for posts, the background seeping through is distracting, and maybe add a background for subtitles under avatars since they're hard to read otherwise.
This. The transparency is grating.

Also I want my Chinese communist theme back...

The strong contrast between text and background is unpleasant.
it looks like the font is pure white (#FFFFFF), which is too bright against the dark background, i agree. null may have to tweak the color just a little so it's not a pure white

edit: ah, now that the background is lighter the pure white isn't as hard on the eyes, though it could still probably be tweaked a little

edit 2: oh i'm retarded he reverted the changes for the night

The site now feels like one of those airports named for a city, even though it's a good 40 miles from it.

Josh fixes more on his website in like 30 minutes than most do in about 6 months. Not terrible.

That said there's the issue of the fact that now link text in actual posts is this dark color which makes them look like they're inactive and makes them kind of blend in with the bakground; if I could make a suggestion I'd recommend maybe making the links something like #cbdb29? That's the lighter color of the kiwi bird in the site's logo, so it kind of fits thematically. I tried testing it out and it seems like it's appropriately light enough to make it stand out without being jarring.
