Formula 1 Discussion - And favourite driver?

Going off qualifying, this might be the race Checo can compete with Max in this year. I doubt it, but we’ll see. Leclerc looks incredibly underwhelming, sheesh. Zhou is trying to prove the haters right, awful showing.

They said Mercedes might be better on this track and what do we get? P7 and P9 respectively with Hamilton the better one today. Though his "where did we loose half a second man?" radio just shows that Mercedes seems to be lost. Whelp, the era of engine power is over for now. I am just waiting for the return of MErcedes once Hamilton is gone. Wouldn't that be ironic?

During the first session, there was some real tension between the jocular commentary team and Bernie in the pits, who was being a bit cunty. Then I think someone must have had words because everyone got a whole lot more professional in Q2 and Q3.

Alonso is driving the arse off that Aston, as opposed to his team mate who is living up to his surname.

The race looks like its Red Bull's to lose, though I think a McLaren is going to sneak a legitimate victory this year.

So it's going to be an hour of start delayed, 2 laps behind the safety car, radio of Hamilton crying about how dangerous it is, then race cancelled then?
Hard to understand Lewis' knickers being in a twist about rain since a wet race gives him a significant driver-skill advantage over most of the field. If I was LH I'd want it to piss down every single race

Because Bernie takes the sport somewhat seriously while aged wants to talk about anything but the sport with some tortured analogy for the whole session.

Hahaha OK then. He's always the one crying how awful and unsafe it is on the radio when it rains. Plus a driver skill advantage requires said driver not to be washed or needing the engineers to carry him.

Based.
Bernie comes off as pretty spergy but actually having relevant things to say which is miles ahead of most of the presenters.
I get the feeling that Bernie doesn't suffer fools gladly.

Well Bernie is an ex strategy engineer. There's a level of spergynes that's required for that sort of role. Now she finds herself surrounded by absolute clowns that spew crap while pretending to have a deep understanding of the sport. That would make anyone go crazy.

got 50 quid bet with my mate that stroll will be first to DNF. seems a decent bet seeing as he's starting down in the trenches

The frankenchassis that Sargeant’s driving may take your money (hell, Sargeant alone is enough).
My disdain for Stroll knows no bounds. The autistic fucker.

Anyways, for anyone lurking when this comment is 40 minutes old the race will be starting.

Both Alpines may be complete tractors, but at least they didn’t have to retire a car like Kick with Zhou.
