PSA: Don't order from a team shop.

I'm in the US and thought it might be nice to have a Mercedes-AMG team driver hat, so i went to the official website to grab one. Naturally, I checked for any promotional coupon codes first.

1. When ordering, i checked out as a guest. The transaction happened on a Sunday.

2. The promotional code that worked was suddenly removed when I clicked the check out button, and I was charged the fiull price without a chance to stop it.

3. No option in the email or order summary allowed for cancellation of the purchase.

4. Customer service was out for the weekend.

5. Despite being "closed," the order managed to ship on a Sunday!

6. Customer Service wasn't helpful and claimed the promo code shouldn't have even worked.

7. They claim no discount could be retroactively applied.

8. Shipping to my residence was $6.95.

9. If i want to return the item, shipping is $12.50...about double the initial rate. This is absolute nonsense, IMHO, as i've rarely been charged to ship something back, including a recent office chair.

I have half a mind to pay shipping and include a hot pile of shit in the package alongside the hat.

Note: Even if I wanted to keep the item, it's such an awkwardly fitting hat that you would think they designed specifically to make the wearer look like a doofus, team logo notwithstanding. Build quality was ho-hum, too .

Anyway, that's just my experience. Yours might be different, but Merc-AMG can lick my ballsack.

Check what the consumer rights laws are in your area. That shit wouldn't fly in pretty much all of Europe.

Assume this will go just like China. Ferrari and Mercedes competing for 1-4, Max at 5-6 after starting 10th or lower, 4-6 cars DNS/DNF. Aston Martin continuing to do 15 laps in the spine destroyer 9000.
Add on Max complaining, McLaren being disappointing, Williams taking a shit (it's a coin flip on whose car flunks this time; I'll assume Alex and Carlos will be taking turns this season), and George and Lewis being smug twats.

I'm going to be a ray of sunshine this season.

Not entirely similar but still had a bad experience with the Aston Martin team store. I ordered the zip top polo from them directly last year because they were running a 50% off sale, so it was about $50 marked down from $100. After shipping it was about $60 and I was happy with it. The item then was deemed undeliverable until I paid another $60 in import taxes. When it was all said and done, I paid probably $20 more to buy the first 50% off from Aston than if I had bought it off Amazon. I live in the US and never order shit from Europe so I wasn't expecting it but I'm not ordering from them again.

Had you listened to Colapinto and bought fake merch, none of this would've happened.

I'll chime in for Williams.

$55 for a white 100% cotton T-shirt made in China.

Thanks, but no thanks.

Been watching F1 since the mid 90's and I think its the most garbage set of regulations F1 ever had. Who asked for this?

Usually i would even look forward to waking up early to watch races that take place in Asia/Australia but big meh vibes now.

Makes me actually miss 2014 and their shitty engines.

one or both of the mclarens (i wasn't paying attention) lando has battery issues again and might not make it out for fp3

edit; he ended up making it out but i wasn't really paying attention to the session. ollie had a spin coming out of spoon (i think?) and he did well to save it. didn't really hear anything else interesting happen

Russell having issues but Antonelli looks mighty so far. Also Lecerc being the faster Ferrari by a mile. Also Verstappen being beaten by Lindblad out of Q2. Ouch

Sounds amazing for the fantasy lineup. Is there ever in shit talk in the kiwi league? I've enjoyed my 1 week at the top before it all falls apart.

Im going to laugh my ass off if fagonelli wins the wdc and rusell gets booted from mercedes for verstappen.
Russell would be the most insufferable WDC of all time.

Talibantonelli is a cool kid and seems to be getting better and better. I hope he beats Russell to the title, as it is very unlikely the WDC this year won't be a Merc driver. Our only hope for a massively butthurt Russell.
