Well we did get a 50g shunt that left the driver barely able to walk away thanks to these retarded rules and the sudden deceleration of cars thanks to charging up the ecocuck systems. This wont be the last either.if you dont mind a horror crash or two
We still have the straight in Baku to see the carnage. Yes it's wide but there wont be much marging for reactions if the lead car suddenly loses 80 kph.F1 is lucky the race in Jeddah got cancelled. The track is so fast yet still narrow, it would have been a carnage, and not because of any missile.
lol beat me to it.Practice for IndyCar.
"The F1 situation has not necessarily turned in the FIA's favor. Moreover, the general trends of the power unit have not been advantageous to us."Well we've got as close to admitting the rules are shit as it is possible to get from the FIA.

They removed that after last year's debacle where teams just played the hold everyone up to make a gap for your team mate game.Weren't they planning to have 2 mandatory poitstops for Monaco? They want to "improve" the experience
Lol I remembered how George Russell lost his mind behind the Williams and cut the chicane. They removed that after last year's debacle where teams just played the hold everyone up to make a gap for your team mate game.
Forcing a 2 stop was just admitting that the modern cars are not a good fit for Monaco. It was a race where people only cared about qualifying, and now qualifying is a lot less exciting due to battery management. It's not even exciting as a leg of the triple crown because the way modern professional drivers are managed, they don't really get the chance to try for it. If an F1 team is paying you $50mil/year, they're not going you risk you getting injured or dying in the Indy 500. Le Mans seems like the easier ask.Weren't they planning to have 2 mandatory poitstops for Monaco? They want to "improve" the experience
How many times are they gonna reference Mario Kart? Play a different arcade racer.another missile has hit the FIA's circus tent
Its to make the new rules seem goofy. Yes they are, but max etc openly calling em mushrooms embarrasses the whole fia. Comparing f1 to mario kart, a kids game everyone knows. Great play calling it "safety concerns" btw, and yes, they are, but again, openly calling them that makes it something they gotta address now, instead of "this sucks, i cant go fast"How many times are they gonna reference Mario Kart? Play a different arcade racer.
I think the only way forward would be for the FIA to take the L and order that the electric power units be disabled for the rest of 2026, and then revert to the previous rules for the 2027 season. Sure it'd assfuck Audi and Cadillac pretty hard, but the former deserves it as they were the ones pushing for these rules in the first place.Well we've got as close to admitting the rules are shit as it is possible to get from the FIA.
Because apparently, nobody's going to bother to listen to one of the heads of the GDPA.Its to make the new rules seem goofy. The main problem with the current hybrids is that they don't have enough electrical energy and that the best ways to recharge the battery are banned.I think the only way forward would be for the FIA to take the L and order that the electric power units be disabled for the rest of 2026, and then revert to the previous rules for the 2027 season. that would bump the cars weight by a shitton and probably interfere with whatever gay fantasy the fia has about having drivers strategically manage battery levels so its not happening anywayI propose doubling the size of the battery
