I could do without a Moroccan GP, but truth being told, that layout isn't that bad. I like the long sweeping right and left turns 3 and 4 as well as that part before the startline, that seems like it's a segment where F1 cars go flatout full speed before going into turn 1. The track also seems to have some neat elevation changes and hills.
Could be a neat replacement for the Russian GP.
As for that F2 dude, way to throw away your career like that. I think the whole song and dance about "Oh no I did an oopsie, these aren't the values that I hold" stuff is ridiculous.
These canned replies are expected to be dropped, but we all know that it doesn't really matter. He can now only hope for this to blow over and be taken back by RB when no one looks.
If he was a promising driver, chances of him just being told to wait a bit before he can rejoin the project aren't that bad I guess.
It's ridiculous that his career might be ended by saying a gamerword once, but ffs, dude knows he's in line to be a professional racecar driver, dude should know that he needs to avoid controversies like this.

If anything, the main indication for any junior formulae driver is to never be anywhere with a hot microphone, lest what you say pisses off some the corporate flag americans.

Watching that clip, I legit thought to myself, if it wasn't a smart idea to have the game and stream on a ~3s delay, so that when you say the gamerword (or something similar), a wingman can just kill the stream, before that tidbit gets broadcasted. Or garble the sound in a way that makes it sound like the audio just crapped out for a second, while the audio is muted and replaced by white noise.

Maybe these people should just not stream? I get its what you do when you're a zoomer similar to breathing air or drinking water but it seems to always bite them. Tiktum managed to finally sink his career after many attempts via streaming (when deliberately crashing into a rival during a safety car period couldn't) and Vips may well have done the same.

That said, I sure wish we weren't as politically sensitive as we are now. I would have loved to see Mazespin drive around with a Z on his Haas. But then again, if no one was ass blasted by that, it wouldn't be funny.

Yeah, sure it could. Sure it's anything more than a ginmic series to placate the mob. Sky F1 are really pushing W series. Like these articles are turning up on page 1 when you never hear a thing about F2 or F3 on there.
W series is at absolute best a feeder into F2, and that's generous. Anyone coming from W series direct into F1 is absolutely only managing that because of diversity hiring. They will not hack it and at best they will set women drivers back again, at worst they get someone injured.
Of course with the current media attention over trans in women's sports the head of formula W just had to jump in with some virtue signaling.

The W Series would make a good feeder for Formula E, given that the latter is already a clown show. Why not throw a few trannies into the mix while they're at it?

I wish these virtue signalers would honestly answer why if these ladies are really good enough to get into formula one, why they are not in Formula 2 or even Formula 3. Would they just say they are discriminated against because they are women, or would they make up something else?

The most honest answer would be "money". It costs a lot of money to drive in F2 unless you are part of a cadre unit. But yes it will most likely boil down to "women can't compete because they always prefer men". I wonder how a woman woulg have fared in current F1 in a W13 in Baku. Probably given up after a few laps because the bouncing would have made her nauseous.
Oh and trans driver in Formula W? We all know how that is gonna end. There is a current trans driver by the name of Charlie Christina Martin and he (or she whatever the fuck) competed in the 2020 24 hours on the Nordschleife. Finished 4th in her class and is currently racing in the BritCar endurance Racing Championship. If it was a guy he would be just a statistic I suppose. But "hey look at me I am trans" seems to give you a certain cloud. She /he / wahtever also wanted to race in this years 24 of Le Mans but I just checked the results and didn't find the name. So much for that then

Except I guarantee that if there was a fast woman coming through the junior series teams and sponsors would throw money at her to get that signature. The marketing and corporate good boy points they could get from that would put her top of their lists.
No way a team like Williams wouldn't jump on that for the guaranteed press coverage raising their profile for sponsors or the Mercedes junior programme for more woke points.

That's true though I think that you still need money to open specific doors. Most drivers don't have a "rags-to-riches" story behiond them. I think Kimi was one but the rest? Most of today's drivers come from junior teams / programs other teams financed. Even the old guys like Alonso and Hamilton were part of yopung driver programs.

As for W Series it's not a good series and anyone who thinks it's a step towards F1 is a retard. Jamie Chadwick who has won it twice had Williams offer to cover half the price of an F3 seat at Carlin, not a great seat but if you beat your two team mates like fellow Williams junior O'Sulivan is currently doing at Carlin you can get a better seat. Of course I doubt someone who finished 2020 Formula Regional 9th in a Perma with their team mates 1st, 2nd and 3rd could do that. She also finished behind Marzipan in the 2019-2020 F3 Asia Season.
While I'm talking about Williams Juniors Logan Sargeant is currently doing well in F2 and is beating his team mate Liam Lawson, a Red Bull Junior.

I never looked into W series in terms of what cars they drive and jfc, the suggestion to use it as a feeder series is bad. W series cars have 270 hp, even an F3 car has 380 hp. W series only did 8 races last season. F2, the traditional F1 feeder series, has cars with more than twice as much horse power as the cars in the W series and they run on 12 racetracks with 2 races each... so anyone in F2 has literally three times as much experience in a car much closer to F1 in terms of performance than anyone from W series.
Just for the record, the data for the Red Bull Ring last year for W series and F1:

It's not like I hate the idea of a female F1 driver, but the idea of using W series as a feeder series for F1 is outright murderous. Might be there are drivers in the W series that might be good after some getting-used to F1, but the transfer from W series to F1 would be rough. Like, neckbreakingly rough. W series would have a tough time acting as a feeder series for F2.

The other day I saw a vid of bodybuilders trying their hand at a F1 simulator, complete with G-force. All of them had some degree of difficulty just steering the driving wheel. By the end, they all recognized that indeed, you need a fair amount of physical strength and fitness to compete in the big leagues - But not enough to be buff, of course. Otherwise you won't fit in the cockpit.
One thing is to lift weights with intervals for rest. Another is to let your body - especially your back and shoulders - resist the strain of extra gravitational pull caused by high speeds for almost two hours straight, not counting the training and testing sessions. I imagine the cars from the Formula W series aren't so hard in that aspect, considering the lap times. But as you can attest, the big leagues are a whole new can of worms. Making such a series jump could be bold, if not outright dangerous.
Depending on which woman gets to the big stage first and in which team, we could have a primadonna that makes King Negro sound like fucking Gandhi (Could you imagine, for instance, Danica Patrick on a Red Bull?). And she could really make it complicated for regulations. Porpoising and speed doing a number on her back? Change that shit NOW. If things are changed for her and just for her, people will inevitably complain and this could all go down into a PR madness with accusations that have nothing to do with the original demand. And that's assuming the purported changes do benefit her.
I'm all for women duking it out with the boys on Formula One, as long as they put up with the regulations and demands of their cars, and don't make a fuss out of their stint. For the sake of equality and fair competition, you know.

If anything you'd think F1 teams would be jumping at the chance to get women drivers through. Generally shorter and lighter than male drivers, they'd be an engineer's dream to design around. The likes of Russell and Ocon must be an absolute nightmare to design a car for that won't cripple them but won't give away a ton of performance.

There have been women in F1 before, the problem is more that there simply aren't a lot of women in Junior Formulae at this moment. In case of the previous one capable of actually slinging the car around; Desiré Wilson, her main problem was that it was the late 70's and she happened to come out of South Africa when being from South Africa was utter radioactivity to sponsors. In order to finally get that driver, there needs to be more women in Karting and this automatically will end up with people trickling down to F1 20 years later.
