Not done that previously for lap 1 red flags though. Just seems to be one of those odd race control decisions that is dependant on flipping a coin.
Who knows. Any decision that involves leaving a steaming turd in Hambone's lunch box is a good decision IMHO.

The people on track were there to "disrupt the GP"?

Who you think, boys? My money's on those Extinction Revolution faggots.
Looks like they’re in orange so it was probably Just Stop Oil, who are linked to XR and have a history of disrupting events. The face of them is a speccy cunt with an extremely punchable face.

If they don’t go to prison for this (and it’s a distinct possibility) I don’t want to hear the screechers in this country whine about us being a fascist state ever again.

It's insane how far the safety technology has come in the sport. Obviously it'll never be perfect (people thought it was safe post-Senna and then Bianchi happened), but so many deaths in the sport could have been prevented with today's enhancements.

Not just for the drivers either, without those fences he would have ended up in the crowd.

No broken bones, Zhou is conscious. Zhou's halo deserves to win the Driver of the Day.

Yeah well, you don't really know what you need until you need it.
And some crashes will just kill the driver regardless of the protection offered by the car or barriers. Greg Moore immediately comes to mind. For those who saw it know how it went down. I am pretty sure even if that car had a halo he would not have survived, given the speed he was flying when it went top first into concrete. The deceleration alone would have killed him.

Guaranteed they'll just get slapped with a £100 fine for a public order offence. We handle those fuckwits with kid gloves for some reason.

Completely tasteless:

Look at the time of the tweets. They tweeted this after the crash.

Edit: They keep tweeting:

I think that's the right call. They can, and did, make the arguments, but end of the day this is their own doing.
True. Given how flexible race control was in 2021, along with FIA's recent crackdown on sticking to the rules. I don't think RC had any choice but to exclude George from the rest of the race.

Man, this RF is almost an hour. They have 3 hours to do the race I believe? If so, its starting to creep towards a timed race if there are more yellow/RF/rain ahead.
