Formula 1 Discussion - And favourite driver?

Now we need a start where hambone gets a good start, gets taken out be Osama and they both collect Norris on their way off. Then we'll get a British GP without "here's how a brit can still win" and missing all the action while the camera follows Hamilton 10 seconds from anyone.

but then we'd just have 71 laps of ollie bearman commentary

Then again, Max is by a pretty decent margin the best driver on the grid right now. He's wrangling that car to the top by his insane talent and perserverence.
Agreed. That car seems like such a shitbox to drive, especially considering Lawson and Tsunoda’s performances in the second car. I get that it’s built around Max’s driving style, but as we saw in FP1, even he seems to be struggling with it.

I am waiting for a rain race just to see who fucks up the most. Of course we would probably get "Hamilton is the rain master he WILL win" spiels or something. Though I am not sure about that, is the Ferrari good in the cold? It was decent in the heat but the other way around?

No rain please. Stroll is going to spin. Red flag, 40 laps of safety car while the burning wreckage of the Aston is being recovered from the stands, 89 dead, dwarfing the le mans 1955 disaster. Stroll magically survives and blames the dead spectators for some reason.
Race resumes, Bartoleto spins, only in gravel trap, but stewards decide to deploy safety car again. Race finishes behind safety car.
Old rain races rocked. Modern day rain races are too safe for their own good.

Max is a once in a generation or perhaps lifetime talent that could probably have a little Tikes pedal car into the points. Of course he's making a midfield car be at level it has no right to be.

and worst of all, hamilton wins. (lando second)

We get that every time followed by radio messages of him complaining its too dangerous to race while Max is lapping 5 seconds a lap faster than him.

The only time he notably excelled in the rain was in the Mercedes years where the car was carrying him in any conditions. Meanwhile notable races by Max in the wet include the insanity of Brazil last year.

Last year's Brazil race is truly what cements Max as real talent and man who will go down with the greats like Lauda, Schumacher, Prost, Senna, Vettel and Hill

I know Pastry gets fellated quite a bit this season, but let's face it, BOTH orange bois are rough around the edges.
I might be Pasty's #1 ballwasher ITT, but even I can see he's nowhere near his peak potential.
What Max lacks in the car, he makes up for in perfect execution.
Max is a phenomenal talent, and easily the best driver on the grid. But, being an Aussie, it's my duty to get the washcloth out and say that Pastry's got the goods to eventually reach Max's lofty heights.

I'd argue that Max is already there. I'd go as far to say that he's the best driver F1 has seen since Schumacher.

Heavy rain in Silverstone. So heavy they had to stop the F3 race and they didn't restart it. Of course we are still some hours in until the race starts but rain isa a possibility.Aalso funny sidenote: apparently Aston Martin gave Stroll a rain setup for qualifying. If true and it rains we might get a Stroll show. Or he crashes on the starting lap

For people curious about some of what goes down on the fangirl/kpop adjacent side of F1 Twitter, someone in a Lando groupchat was recently exposed for lying about her child being sick for sympathy and attention.

This person was previously called out for posting pictures of their newborn child on Twitter (and naming him Oscar, which she claims is her fathers name, but since she is a habitual liar its hard to say). Unfortunately I didn't archive when she did post her baby on Twitter since I figured she would fade out of existence but I guess not. Now she is pretending to be missing by her "mum" posting on her Twitter account.

Post of her being exposed for lying about her child being sick:

Post of her "shes missing!" post":

I dont know how the F1 fandom has reached this point but it is a ride. I hope the child is safe (it is confirmed she does have a child) but the kids bound to have a tough life either way with this woman as his mother.

All the rain seemed to move into Sweden, based on the WRX event in Höljesbanan.

Btw we have Lego trophies today.
