I’m in awe that it was only 5sec no penalties on license. He obviously had a problem, wouldn’t slow down and the team would retire the car until it failed and then still tried to make it to the finish like how I play Mario kart.

You basically cut all the corners in a lap due to an almost complete loss of brakes and 5 seconds is the result.

As Alonso said/happened in 2022 a mirror break off due to accident? DQ!

Yes, I know there are rumours about Max leaving RBR, but now that Horner has been yeeted (possibly due to Daddy Verstappen's influence), I can't see Max going anywhere.

The thing is that for all their attempts to undermine him, Pastry's time at McLaren has not been in vain. Had he stuck with Alpine, there's no way he'd be within cooee of WDC. Even when he finally has enough of Zak's bullshit, Pastry will have almost every team banging down his door.

Here's hoping Webber has been stewing over this for the past decade, and decides to channel his revenge via Pastry. I'd love to have a wiretap on his phone rn.
 
It's a bit :optimistic: but I think under certain circumstances a move to RB could work out.
New regulations next year would reset the "tailored to Max" car. And 2030 reshuffles it again.
Max isn't going to be in F1 for the next 10 years, I think sooner than later he'll jump over to endurance racing, be it in GT3 with his own team, or Ford in a hyper car.
So Oscar can be under the tutelage of Max for 2-3 years, and once Max leaves F1 become challenger himself.
Better than sitting in a team you cannot trust, that's full of HR snakes pretending to be unbiased, and yet screwing you over at any opportunity they can get, whilst smiling at the camera and telling the world how awesome the team is.
I'd take the gamble with another team.
I know F1 is a cutthroat business, but I'd rather get "you are shit, your seat is given to X next season" over "omg we love teamwork, it's so cool to have you, you are so good and we appreciate you, please let Lando pass he had a slow pit stop".

I've only heard it from once source, but it wouldn't surprise me if he retires early. He started young, and he might just want to go out on top, whatever he thinks that is.

I'm fairly new to this so I'm just catching up and may be talking out my ass. But it seems to me, contract aside, LeClerc should have reclaimed his balls and stood up to Ferrari already, and I'm not sure if there's some professional face he's trying to save here, but if Piastri starts acting up and getting openly pissed at MacLaren, it might be the kick in the ass he needs.
 
Leclerc already told them to stop fucking around. Thats why Elkann himself had to get busy shitcanning Binotto and bringing Vasseur from Sauber.

He hates the circus around F1, he's just there to race. And it's only getting worse with each year.
I'm pretty sure he'll leave on his own terms, and not let his career meander into mediocrity like Hamilton or Vettel.
And I think he won't stop with endurance racing, he's the kind of race nerd who wants to conquer it all.
 
I can't believe there are still "people" (bongs and w*men) defending pwecious little Lando after he divebombed, gave Max the chrome horn and nearly doored his own teammate right into the wall. Oscar is just way too nice and that's his biggest black eye, especially when it's clear his team favors the other driver. If Fat Brown tried to screw Senna or Prost by making him give the other a position back because of a slow stop, we'd be seeing fists flying.

I need a McLel implosion leading to Max coming out of nowhere, or Piastri holding on. If Lando wins the WDC thanks to his team handholding him all the way, the 60 IQ subhumans at the commentary desk will be insufferable next year. Someone really needs to bitchslap Idiot Ted on his grid walk.

Once again, I'm asking for an American broadcast. Even putting the camera on Colton Herta while he scores 0 points his entire career would be so much better than the Sky bongtards.
 
I honestly wonder if there's going to be McLaren inter team rivalry now that it's almost clear as say that they really want Lando to win. What's even funnier is that this was a dog shit race for Max who was complaining about car problems and track conditions for 2nd and finished ahead of both McLaren drivers. This race still keeps Max in the hunt for WDC and at the heels of at least 2nd place.

The next race in Austin might become spicy if the Mclaren take a 1-2 in qualifying. Just look at how Hamilton drove of Rosberg in the 1st corner in 2015 which then led to Rosberg throwing his cap at Hamilton in the cooldown room. And some might argue it also made Rosberg go balls to the wall for 2016

Also I have seen rumors that Piastri might go to Ferrari to replace Hamilton. Seems we have a new silly season on our hands.
 
Alonso and Sainz have both criticised the TV direction along with every subreddit also doing so. Including showing WAGs and crowd shots. FOM has essentially said "tough it's great how it is" with my favourite bit being

while also providing context from grandstands, guest appearances, and the race venues.

Does F1 desperately want to get their own "celebrity girlfriend" to get women interested?

Showing WAGs is like saying, "here, celebrity that needs attention, we'll set you up with one of our eligible bachelors so women will show up just for celebrity sightings".

I don't even know (or care) if any of them are available. I'm with everyone that says the phenomenon of showing WAGs at sporting events is a thing that should die.
