The Season 2 end event was fun. Probably as good as these events get.
Haven't spend a whole lot of time learning the new mechanics yet. Glad "No Build" is still in the game.
Most of the 'vibin' just amounts to phosphorescent chalk art everywhere. They gutted the evil mountain fortress, the one interesting place they added in season 2. It seems like all the changes happen on that side of the map.
The eastern half is still just as boring as it ever was.
I liked when the indestructable airships were just fucking everywhere and you could use the cannons on them as fast travel to get to the others. That combined with the sprinting made it some sonic hedgehog flying battery zone ass shit but if it was a shooter instead of a sonic game. Kinda sucks how they got rid of those because lore reasons but they were fun while they lasted. For what was essentially the Buzz Lightyear ride at Disneyland it was real fun and hype as hell with my friends.
Personally I enjoy the rollercoasters and Screwballers more than the airship hovering over the IO mountain base, you never had much to do at the caverns other than shoot and loot.
I suppose it's going to be one of those "slow change" seasons since sources say Season 3 is gonna last all the way into September/October.
I'm sorry Nepeta.I liked when the indestructable airships were just fucking everywhere and you could use the cannons on them as fast travel to get to the others. That combined with the sprinting made it some sonic hedgehog flying battery zone ass shit but if it was a shooter instead of a sonic game. My friends that play the game that got me into the game to begin with fucking ghosted me during the season end event. Online but no response to party invites, and the ones that i managed to join the party of fucking kicked me till i just said "fuck it" and did it by myself, only to have the team I got RNG placed into literally quit the fucking event because I had mic chat enabled and said "hello." It was a geuinely fucked moment and due to it i was left soloing the whole thing thinking I was going to fucking die due to the tower defense element.
I doubt it. Despite all the dimensional fuckery the story seems to regulate the Zero Point as the MacGuffin that the factions fight over and the proverbial glue that connects/holds together the all the weird details. Whenever Epic presents their cool Season cinematics and trailers I don't think their was ever a moment where a character met a dimensional copy of themselves. The fact such an interaction can only happen in-game thru the player and the other fact that most NPCs don't seem to care feels like the developers don't care either . Theorycraft if you must but sometimes in a story a Geno is a Geno and not a blank slate for a writer to make a funny plot twist out of nowhere. My bet is on Geno being Jones from another reality or something like that.
See the lore is there's like 2 agencies dealing with this weird pocket universe temporal anomaly thing, the iO and "the seven." The guy voiced by the rock that became just a rock skin is one of "the seven" which were like a big nebulous thing in chapter 1 IIRC But yeah it's weird that the additional factions that seem to be untied to those 2 kinda just vanished to the wayside despite having hint drops in-map that they're still out there like ghost logos, randomly spawning boats, and gold items being in some buildings or whatever implying Midas' crew is still out there and survived the whole "island flipping" incident thing. I can't remember if there's still shit saying the chaos agent guy that's basically shown in promo shit to be the head of Shadow is still out there, but they came out with that fortnite crew kin of him that's supposedly his "origin" as an edgy gasmask hitman for midas and the 30 dollar joker dlc tie-in "midas rex" power armor which seems to be a more advanced more iron-man ish form of the cyclo power armor. Still no clue what the whole deal with ghost/shadow AKA ego/alter is right now situation wise but at least it seems one of them is still out there lurking in the shadows. What happened behind the scenes after chapter 2 season 2 we had character intros a quest line a ltm based around it permanent style. And then it was dropped and now it's just the rock and big chungus flossing to defeat thanos in a comic tie in no one buys anymore.
Just wanna go back to when everyone thought fornite was a stw simulation theory again...
I want to get goku and vegeta but I don't want to spend fucking big money on them. For some reason they aren't bundled together and instead are bundles with fucking beerus and bulma of all fucking people. I don't know why they didn't just make a skin for roshi when they have his shell backpack and cane as a harvesting tool as DLC shit. I gotta say their cel shaded models are getting less uncanny valley looking as they make more of them. Also big missed opportunity with how weirdly expensive vegeta is standalone to give him his shoulderpads or scouter as an outfit option. Sure he didn't have the super saiyan hair at any point when he had those but it's an iconic look that'd be easy to mod onto the model they made.Holy moley. Based on the number of Gokus I'm seeing in matches, Epic must've made a billion dollars off their Fortnite/Dragonball Super crossover.
I'm not a big fan of Fortnite's "anime" inspired models, but if they ever add Mr. Satan to the roster, that'd be a day one purchase.
I enjoy the end events. I wish you could replay them, but It is nice to be able to play as master chief doing sick stunts on ps4.The current season ends in a week.
I haven't played too much this season because the metal thing doesn't do it for me. I've died more times from the metal than I have been aided by it. My gun has evolved instead of reloading, killing me in a tight duel. While metalicized, I've turned into a blob midfight, dying. Wall walking is fun, but basically useless as an offensive measure because it gives the enemy a huge noisy target to shoot while you're slowly clawing your way through the wall.
Maybe the metal thing is broken in high level play and competitive fortniters are dabbing in their metalized towers. I don't know, I'm even close to that level.
The halloween stuff was fun, though. Shame they didn't keep it through the end of the season.
