As not a Simpsons fan, I like this little break. The art style is weird, but in a good way, every other character stands out A LOT so it's really easy to target players. Guns feel ok, I'm not the biggest fan of them adding the Stryker and not adding a modding station really blows.

I got the Krusty pistol, it's fun to fuck with people! Especially if they get in cars. I'm unaware if they stay in the car until the balloon reaches its max height, and they jump out will they take damage. I give this mini-season 3.5/5 booms. BOOM BOOM BOOM BO

This new map is the highest effort I've seen in some time and it sucks every match I get is still either bots or exploit abusing/cheat client using sweats or a mix of both. I try doign something funny after realizing you can sit on the simpsons couch and someone I noticed camping int he corner of a room just starts shooting me and bouncing al over the room the moment I enter. They missed a bunch of shots too which made it more funny on my end.

>"the new map is filled with classic locations from the TV show"
>no Sneed's Feed & Seed

Of course the devs of the highest-grossing game can't do anything right.
Really big missed opportunity, but on the bright side they have Skinners' house (complete with smoking steaming oven and a plate of krusty burgers steamed hams.
Knowing fortnite there's a chance it might be added with a map update replacing one of the unnamed convenience stores in the rural area (because it's formerly chucks obviously)

The kwik-e-mart is an actual location but there's no apu skin so you can't recreate the rooftop apu gun scene.

WTF is up with this little mutant slapping people on the ass? I keep seeing people post clips of it running up and slapping people on the ass.

The main thing stopping me from spending money on these fucking things is the fact that apparently only the person equipped can see them. I understand there's a distraction factor but I also want to be aware if the little ewok bastard is doing something to me I'm not aware of because he's some other player's schizophrenia demon. Also the "getting locked out of being able to customize after the first go" is a bad choice because this isn't a gradual unlock like that one military skin from a few years ago.

...That and because Homer's car wasn't in the battlepass for some reason.

EDIT TO AVOID DOUBLE POST: I forgot to bring this up but I did the story quest thing and had to deal with sweats and campers trying to kill me the whole way through. The sweats are bizarrely especially retarded lately though because I watched one that killed me then proceed to try to kill the homer npc I was interacting with too but then stumble around and die to homer's pickaxe. Made me remember some statistic I saw someone send me about a weirdly high number of players dying to the flanders NPC.

In the main combat gamemodes, only teammates can see each other's sidekicks and you also see them when you spectate someone after death. Brick Life lets you see sidekicks without that restriction, I don't know if any other gamemodes do that. Homer's car is good.

I didn't have these problems. Finished the story quests and every Lost and Found quest, found all "hidden gags", explored the island every match and somehow still got more wins just in the first week of this season than in any other season. Took me forever to find Skinner's house, I kept checking every house in named locations again and again until randomly dropping right next to it.

Still on 0 wins this season, always get ganked via headshot from behind or mysteriously one shotted by a grey shotgun at full shield. Been that way the last few years but also I'm probably fighting aim assist or some shit because I play on consoles because I refuse to install epic games launcher.

When i found skinners house I killed a sweat that was like trying to hop slide and shit around outside it while trying to kill me and then I recreated the entirety of the steamed hams scene by breaking open the wall, running to krusty burger, and then running back and eating the mouth watering hamburgers.

Took me forever to find Skinner's house
"Well seymour I made it... despite your directions." -you.

I think the thing that throws you off from skinners house despite it looking as close as possible to the show is how due to them having to fit the interior inside it to fit the fortnite building grid it's stretched out.

EDIT TO AVOID DOUBLE POST: Dude it's fucking hilarious just hopping into someone's car when they move slow and then just not doing anything tillt hey get out, SUVs have been the funniest shit ever since they got added because there's been an increasing amount of times wher eyou got two people chasing each other in one trying to mow the other one down, and then you get caught between them and zoop on in there, only for them to notice what happened like 3 minutes later when the other guy chasing them jumps intot he car too and then you jump out and steal their car. Many braincells and strategy go into this and it's a lot more funny than just loading a car full of bullets till it explodes (though I do that sometimes when hijacking a car)

I admit, I'm getting increasingly-annoyed at this season. Bought Crew for some of the items that I wanted, figured I might as well try and make some extra V-Bucks from the Battle Pass, and I think I'm nearly ready to put my controller through the wall. Sweats are out in force this season; seems like every other player I see is a coked-up jackrabbit hopping around and scoring nothing but headshots at impossible angles. Good news is, I already got the Umbrellas for the current seasons, so I think I might as well just quit for now; not really a Simpsons fan anyways.

I admit to being interested in the story, but it's hard to really care when every lobby has people that no-life this game, you know? The "Follow the Butterfly" event happened a few days ago, couldn't even last long enough to figure out what was going on.

It's very annoying that the new Peely/Frink skin on the battle pass explicitly requires you to do Battle Royale quests to unlock it. They fucked off with that stuff shortly into Chapter 5 so you could just level up in any mode to finish the battle pass, but now they want to funnel people back into Battle Royale.

I'm hoping this is negatively received and they go back on it, but that hasn't been happening lately, so I'll probably use bot lobbies to cheese the quests. I don't like the skins that much, but I want to complete the battle pass.

Fortnite doesn't appeal to me. But when you put the Daft Punk Alive 2007 concert as an interactive experience? Yes, that's the type of bait that gets me to bite down and actually install Epic Game Services to try this out. That concert really was great too, you could grind on rails in Around the World or fly around when Superheroes was playing. The side activities were fun too, Lego Around the World or making your own remixes of the songs.
The concert was so good that the official Daft Punk youtube channel posted the intro for the song "Contact" as an official music video.

I think if Epic does more concerts like this, it'll be a reason to draw people like myself into the game to check it out.

The Simpsons collab got me back into playing Fortnite, at least for now. Every now and then, a collab for something I really like will show up and I'll re-download it and get all the stuff with it.

Every time I come back to Fortnite they add some new quality of life feature that catches me off guard, it's hard to explain.

It's a bit of a long shot, but hopefully the Simpsons collab will inspire people who've never seen the show to give the golden age stuff a watch.

New update on the Simpsons collab; currently, we are fighting a shit-ton of Zombie Homers around the island.

For those that haven't kept up on the story; after Homer got his hands on the Zero Point shard and started trying to turn Springfield into a paradise, everyone else promptly started getting more than a bit pissed at him for his antics - basically, his actions were really only beneficial to himself, rather than anyone else. In order to try and get the heat off of him, Homer decides to hide out at the power plant, and finally dumps the shard in the radioactive waste; unfortunately, the dumb fuck falls in, causing him to be split into a bunch of zombie clones of himself, whom we have to now fight off during the BR mode.

So, his kids decide to cause various antics with the help of the Looper to try and get the original Homer's attention; Hope theorizes that he's still alive somewhere, and the kids want to help. Unfortunately, the energy that gets released by the different Homer clones ends up creating a giant, mostly-naked Homer that the Looper is going to have to fight. No, I'm not joking.

So... yeah, this is a thing now. As someone who's never really watched the Simpsons, I admit to having very little idea of what in the royal fuck is going on.

But anyways, apparently we're going to be able to transform into/play as the giant Homer boss sometime soon; no idea how that's going to go, and at this point, I'm afraid to ask.

Aside from that, there's been some talks going on about the upcoming Chapter 7, particularly in the realm of collabs. For starters, the 7th chapter is not only bringing back The Seven from the original storyline, but the upcoming map is apparently set on a twisted version of Earth; according to some of the leaks, we're getting coastal California, Las Vegas, and Area 51 POIs. Not entirely sure how that's supposed to go down, especially since the upcoming theme was previously indicated to be a Gala, but... we'll have to wait and see.

In terms of upcoming collabs, apparently South Park and Harry Potter have both been confirmed, and The Bride from Kill Bill is also coming; the yellow jumpsuit lady is apparently involved in the upcoming event according to some leaked dialogue, and she's working with Hope to track down the Zero Point shard.

Forgive me for saying this, but... I'm genuinely just a bit lost at this point.

That came with my Game Pass. I'm playing the Simpsons season. I like how the cel-shaded graphics look with the Springfield world. Shotguns are my best friend here because I cannot do shit with assault rifles or SMGs so far. I guess "mythic" or "rare" weapons do more damage.

Just for the Simpsons themed content alone, it's more fun than Call of Duty now. Makes more SENSE than Call of Duty now, think on that.
