Fortunately it doesn't take all that much hormone therapy to turn a soyboy into a woman, so the water is well within the acceptable contaminant level built in by the typically unreasonable paranoia foreward-thinking of the engineers who designed Puppy Mech.
 
Unfortunately, many of the puppies had unforseen low levels of testosterone, so the (also low) levels of oestrogen hormones in the water were more than enough to turn the freaking puppies gay.
 
Fortunately, the only major development that arises from this is that the gay puppies remain to compromise the (admittedly, now somewhat smaller) main body of the Puppy Mech, while the unaffected puppies splinter off to form an independent mobile support unit, kind of like the G-Fighter but with waggy tails.
 
Unfortunately, you remembered you're allergic to dogs, and apparently that also extends to dog mechas.

Fortunately, the Puppy Mech is able to yap and sniff the Kitten Mech into something resembling obedience.
 
Fortunately, since cats are lazy af, Puppy Mech can be rebuilt stronger, better, faster, less gay, and they can find a way to team up to create CatDog Mech to combine their powers to fight the evil trannies who locked you in the lab.
 
Unfortunately the CatDog mech can only be active for 21 minutes at a time before it needs to recharge its batteries.
 
Fortunately, you baled hours ago and are now deep in the forest escaping the horrors of puppycatmech
 
Unfortunately, there's a lot of really gay ogres in the forest looking for some sweet male ass to pound.
 
Fortunately, the straight ogres are all incels that turned jailhouse gay, and they ain't picky.
