Any more groomcord updates? You know Francis, it’s very unkind to keep your current greatest hits behind your wall of Sperg-icho. Also, his Bluesky dev accounts followers has gone up by 1 (One), since I checked like a week ago.

This “Crashout Survival” game is such a gay and retarded attempt at trying to poke fun at himself so it looks like he’s actually going through with rebranding and improving as a person. (He’s not)
And the reason he immediately changed his mind and decided to not make it about him is because he is incapable of taking a joke about himself

Roblox games make Robux from selling cosmetics and in game perks, Roblox takes 30% of any Robux made, and then if you have enough Robux you can trade it for 35% of what it costs into actual money.
I misread this post and thought the quote was part of it, but this is sort of informational so I won't delete it.
If you have enough players, you can get a pretty chunk of change. Though I think nowadays most of the money is in premium payouts, where Roblox gives developers robux if players with membership play their game. Think of it like YouTube adsense if it only applied to YouTube Premium. I'm a Roblox developer (yes, Autistic, I know) and I don't have any gamepasses in my game, yet i've gotten over 20k robux just from premium payouts. This is with a ~50 player average and only getting a 10% group cut. Of course, you'd need a LOT more players to make this financially sustainable, which I highly doubt Francis will have from what I've heard of his concepts.
He hasn't come up with any actual gameplay concepts, only the gimmick. "What if... random decals??" "What if... I was in area 51??" Ok? What's the gameplay though? Just say it's "like x" or "you make money" or anything, you don't have to divulge the whole project, just give us a basic idea of what the actual game will be like. I can't get hyped over a concept that's been made 1,000 times by amateur scripters. I am not a Twitter user, so posting character concepts does not make me optimistic for his project.

Hello Mr hubbabubba.
Would you be open to answering some of my curious questions?
Here they are, I look forward to your response if yes.

1. As a developer are you concerned with Roblox and how it moderates dangerous behaviour?
2. Does the game you work on have protective measures in place to deter concerning behaviour and protect young kids?
3. Are there guidelines that roblox gives every developer on this issue?
4, Have you noticed an uptick in behaviour that would be classed as EPI or grooming on Roblox?
5, How long does it take and how many people are usually involved in the average roblox game?
6, If Francis by some miracle actually shoved out a "working" product is there any protections on robloxes end in place with the code or could someone just steal it and make a near identical game?
I mainly ask this because any sort of media ive seen of roblox, the games look quite similar in some cases, especially when it comes to extracting payment.
7. Are you hopeful that Roblox would change to address the obvious issues it has with children in the near future?
8. If say, someone like Franc did something with a kid, would you be confident in a company like Roblox handling it well?
9. Has roblox put the pressure of detering concerning behaviour on the development teams that make its games or does it have its own sort of underpaid mod task force?

Just want to get someone in your shoes perspective on things as you might have an interesting outlook.
Sincerely

FRiTG

We have a thread resident Roblox developer? If you don’t mind me asking, exactly how much in USD have you made from your game?
$0, as I haven't made enough robux to cash out through devex. In total we (the group I'm working with) has probably made around $300 maybe? Don't feel like asking for the exact amount right now. It was really just a pet project, we never had intentions of making money.
And how many pedoes/groomed kids play your games?
We ban any NSFW avatars people report from our game, and used Ruben Sim's rocleaner to ban anyone from our 'cord. I will admit we have had some incidents with high-ranking members being exposed, but we've swiftly dealt with all of them. That's just the nature of der 'cord I suppose.
1. As a developer are you concerned with Roblox and how it moderates dangerous behaviour?
Yes, this site is a shithole. Roblox can barely moderate anything, and they also moderate the wrong things. Try to upload any audio? You have to do a billion workarounds or else the auto-janny will delete it and ban your account. Uploading any bit crushed audio is a death sentence. I once got warned for uploading a solid red square as a decal.

2. Does the game you work on have protective measures in place to deter concerning behaviour and protect young kids?
Read above, though it's all manual and relies on user reports. Our game is small enough for this to be effective, though.
3. Are there guidelines that roblox gives every developer on this issue?
Not sure what you mean by this. Like if Roblox gives tips on dealing with groomers? I don't think they do, it's just up to the developer how they deal with them. Grooming is specifically against the Community Standards, thoughever.
4, Have you noticed an uptick in behaviour that would be classed as EPI or grooming on Roblox?
Yes, definitely. I don't want to scape any goat for it specifically, but I've always hated UGC accessories and I definitely feel like it's a big part of the issue. Public Discord servers have also made it easier for groomers to connect with each other in recent years. I also feel like the internet in general has become more EPI and groomer infested, likely due to how porn addiction has become normalized, but that's a different can of worms.
5, How long does it take and how many people are usually involved in the average roblox game?
The time it takes to make a Roblox game really depends on what game is being made, like any other platform. Slop games take a month at most, bigger games (i.e. Pressure) probably take a year+. Most big games will have around 10 people working at them, and some games are owned by corporations that will have more. I'm not really the best to ask about this, admittedly.

While the game concept may be barebones, Francis likely has custom models/animations, which is harder to copy and is not worth it unless his game blows up. There are exploits to copy entire games, but people with access to these aren't going to bother with Francis' game. At most there will be a bunch of scam places that copy the thumbnail/title of his game.
7. Are you hopeful that Roblox would change to address the obvious issues it has with children in the near future?
Of course I hope that Roblox gets better moderation, but I'm not holding my breath. Maybe they should invest their AI resources into getting better moderation instead of making an assistant that no developer will ever use.
8. If say, someone like Franc did something with a kid, would you be confident in a company like Roblox handling it well?
No. See: Mah_Bucket, MisterObvious, etc. They are notoriously terrible with banning known child predators. People who have been ARRESTED for trying to meet minors take MASS REPORTING to ban them. Roblox has even UNBANNED some of these people. Unbelievable.
9. Has roblox put the pressure of detering concerning behaviour on the development teams that make its games or does it have its own sort of underpaid mod task force?
Both. There are 'blox jannies, but I genuinely don't know if they do anything anymore. Maybe they respond to appeals and look at chat messages? I think it's 90% AI moderation nowadays.
