This is a mess on so many levels

- John's face is barely seen at the end, someone without prior exposition to these freaks would think Frank's the actual candidate.
- the ad sends all kinds of mixed signals, it's republican voters who give a shit about religious freedom and the constitution, not democrats.
- the fact that Frank is using a Godzilla suit to fight "Trumpzilla" really brings to mind "do not fight with monsters, lest ye become a monster"

John can't even manage not to look completely horrifying and insane in a 3 second still at the end.

This ad is amazing and borderline genius. It belongs in a museum with a label "Perfect Example - How to not make a campaign ad". If we didn't have several threads and a board for Brianna I'd suggest this was a masterclass in trolling.

Is this now the second or third "Ad" that doesn't feature Brianna Wu or any of her political stances? Or does Brianna really think if she becomes a Jr. Congressman her husband gets to fight Kaiju 45 with giant constitution?

I don't get it. Is this a play for some free "OMG look at this terrible campaign ad!" news coverage? This is so bad that I can't come up with any other rationale for it existing. It's unhinged.

I think it's for the credulous moron clickbait whore site audience who will mindlessly praise anything done by some horrifying monster of a troon because so brave and beautiful. Look at the boingboing shit.

Wouldn't supporting the incumbent Democratic congressman be the best bet for opposing Trump's legislative agenda though?

It's them likely using props, costumes, and equipment (camera mainly) in a campaign ad because they were all likely campaign expenses that have to be used in the campaign to be covered in the FEC filing. They wanted new toys and Frank apparently really wanted to shoot a Godzilla short.

There are a small handful (very small) of people who think this campaign isn't a grift/total farce and they donated money for a political ad for Brianna Wu and got this instead. Sometimes I wonder if John Flynt isn't a super deep level troll like Andy Kaufman.

I think this is the first time I've heard Frank's voice. Also the first Wu campaign ad I've ever watched.

I could have lived happily without either of those things.

Wonder which version of "Mars, Bringer of War" she used for the ad soundtrack? How does classical music licensing for ads work, anyway? 'Cause if she was gonna go to the trouble, "Dies Irae" might have been a better choice.
