Long live Ziggy!

I'm just glad the little fucker is safe and getting the love he deserves. He's the best boy and I miss him.First and foremost I shared this whole story to my family, and the song is universally loved. Bless you.
UPDATE:
Ziggy has been hanging with us for near a month now! Poor guy only had one ball drop, so between that surgery and the usual checks I'm out a rack to my vet .... but he is otherwise in great health! The nose issue just needed some cream. Dude is a adorable little unit.
The process of rescuing and then getting the burnt marshmallow home was a quite an ordeal, including a clandestine payoff, a Midwestern arms dealer I have known for 20 years, a tractor trailer hitting a bridge, but it was well worth it. Not a single exaggeration there, and @Burd Turglar can back me up. None of this would have happened without him taking the time to see the fact a small dog was not being treated well, and there had to be someone who would give him a better life. He went out on a limb to dox himself to me in order to do this, and I can say for sure he is a genuinely good hearted soul.
Ziggy has just two more days of having his cone on, but shortly thereafter I promise pictures of the boy thriving in his new environment. The whole house loves him, and he is settling in great.
My wife just breathed a sigh of relief that we weren't on the hook for an cryptorchid neuter surgery. Really glad to hear he's doing well!First and foremost I shared this whole story to my family, and the song is universally loved. Bless you.

Good! The crytorchid surgery was the only thing wrong with him, and my vet is a personal friend so he cuts me a deal.My wife just breathed a sigh of relief that we weren't on the hook for an cryptorchid neuter surgery. Really glad to hear he's doing well!
How are his dentals? We took in a pug rescue not long ago and he just had 14 removed and he's not even 2 yet.
His teeth are better than most humans I know. I was actually surprised by his dental health. My wife just breathed a sigh of relief that we weren't on the hook for an cryptorchid neuter surgery. Really glad to hear he's doing well!

I love this thread for what was done, but I'm still throwing that into random.txt.Now I need to go and talk to my doctor about my undropped third testicle.
I was going to dissuade you on a beagle as they require serious outdoors shit that most people are incapable of understanding but if you have a husky you already know what's up. What sort of mastiff do you have? I had a Dogo (Argerntinian) years ago and I miss him very much.God, hes a cute little fucker and it warms my heart to see him find a good home. My next dog won't be for years, but I'm increasing leaning towards a smaller dog next time, like a pug or beagle. My buddy got a beagle pup recently and I keep threatening to steal him. I need to acclimate my husky to small dogs. My mastiff loves little pups, but the husky, he thinks they're toys. And that little furball is tough on his toys.

The rescue called her a Brazilian mastiff. That was good enough for me. Oh yeah, gotta have a big dog friendly yard for the husky to run. When he goes full tilt in the winter, he throws a rooster tail of snow 10 feet high. It's goddamned majestic. The mastiff isn't much of a sprinter, but she likes to run a bit, too. More klutzy than majestic, though. I've done Sydney to Tweed Heads. That was an eventual return trip with a strange dog in the carSpeaking as an Australian, if you won't do an 8 hour round trip to pick up a dog you're a pussy.

I owe you all a very overdue update on all of your favorite little dipshit pug, Ziggy. As you can see above, the boy continues to thrive! I couldn't share any other photos due to not wanting to dox myself, but rest assured it was a ton of cool shit where he was playing with the other animals or having a good time with the family.
He's healthy, fun, social, and a great dog in good health. He acts like a petulant two year old but in an endearing way. Much love again to everyone, particularly Burd Turgler, for making this happen. He really did find this guy a good home out of the kindness of his heart, and when I sent an arms dealer to pick the little guy up for me, he didn't immediately question his life choices.
I love that our aggressive gossip forum came through and saved this little goblin dog from a bad end. Heartwarming. I wish him and you all the best, he looks happy.Greetings Kiwis!

Filas(Brazilian mastiff) are one of those dogs I can't imagine being able to handle. Other ones are the dogo argentino, huskies, presa, pitbulls, malinois, and pretty much every hardcore livestock guardian. Which is weird because I can handle a cane corso just fine. Helps that I grew up with them, I guess. The rescue called her a Brazilian mastiff. That was good enough for me. Oh yeah, gotta have a big dog friendly yard for the husky to run. I had a dogo and though he took some work as a rescue from an underground fighting ring, he was the best dog I've ever had and was wonderful with children. Again, it took work but I'm alright with doogs.Glad the pug is doing well.
