I'm just amazed that this is the second time I've seen a FNF mod creator getting too big for their knickers because they made a semi-popular mod. If this is how these people act when they get even a small amount of notoriety, then they really need a nice, large serving of humble pie.

So, the FNF Soft mod came out (or has been out for a while I dunno) and I have to say that story wise: BF comes off as a bit of a brat.

It's implied that his parents (who are used in place of GF's parents) were abusive to him, but the only thing he seems to be hung up on is that parents find his dreams of being a painter ridiculous. Up to the point where he straight up runs away from with Pico (who is his "GF" essentially). The story from that point is him trying to get away from his "abusive" family and learn to move on.

Honestly, I'm with parents with this one. Apparently his parents are famous singers and want him to join in with the family tradition (at least that's what I got). He doesn't want to do this because has interest of his own, which is fine by itself, but it's not like his parents said he couldn't indulge in his interest as a hobby. Especially since, he has a good chance at success following the family tradition as opposed to getting into a market where success is about as likely as catching the world's biggest fish in a pond. It doesn't help that he also has romantic interests in Pico, a highschool shooting thug (I'm assuming that's the case since evidence to the contrary is just BF saying it's not true) and runs away with him because of them belittling his dreams. This mod's story screams teenage girl fantasy.

Not a fan of soft painter BF. It's a game about a cool midget guy rapping and singing, not whining and family issues. It's a fairly well put together mod but I guess it's not for me.

FNF being as viral as it is, is a monkey's paw. ninjamuffin and company succeeded in breathing life into newgrounds for a few more years. for their spheres this is a win.

I've been waiting for this mod... for ages. So I can finally talk shit.

I hate this mod. I want to say I "dislike" it but to me it just fails so hard on storytelling and visual design. We have here on the most simple /r/teenager storylines. Soft boy boyfriend runs away from his family because they want him to be a singer but he's a painter. A issue with this ties in his design. First of all his design SPEAKS and I mean SPEAKS of a stereotypical pathetic "uwu soft boy" meant to be involved with a bad boy but not only that it makes a question. Why a painter?

There are so many more occupations boyfriend could be, fuckin' apple farmer BF or BF wanting to move into the rap game instead of his families pop singing. That would've been more interesting storytelling but no. His design feels either like a self insert of a average internet artist and /r/teenager artist story or they are so uncreative that being internet artist a painter is the only thing on their minds. Of course there's a inner demon battle that's absolute shit.

Its so cliché that it makes me lay on the floor and think about how easy it is to get away with uncreative shit nowadays. Now lets talk visuals; It's dogshit. I say the best design characters are dad and mom and not by much. Pico literally looks like a edgy homeless teen which just makes this mod's "ship" look bad. Rich runaway, pathetic, failure of a painter boy with homeless edgy graffiti artist. GF's design is.... what the fuck it feels "cute" but does not look cute it feels tryhard cute. Do I need to even mention the spooky boys designs? Finally the left side original boyfriend sprite looks fucked. You literally could've just switched the original sprite around and no one would bat an eye.

Finally to end this makeshift review. "FNF soft" I have never her of a mod name more shit than this. It's so uncreative and feels catered to gay shippers that it makes me feel dirty watching the video for it. In terms of fnf normalcy this mod would be "okay" or "average". It's here but its very, very forgettable in fact I will probably only remember it because i found this reply i made while going over the thread by next year and be like "oh yeah that shit mod".

So the main character designs are pretty cute for the most part, the only two (three) that I don't really like are Skid, Pump and Lemon Demon ironically.

The whole space aesthetic wasn't properly translated onto Skid and Pump's original designs so it just looks weird and instead of making something cool for Lemon Demon they made him some kind of shadow demon of Bf's dad because it fits the absolute laughable story.
(It doesn't help that he doesn't have any lyrics at all as well)

Anyways they could have made him some kind of fake plastic fruit that pretends to also be a painter and ran away from his parents as well. It's not the best idea but it's certainly better and more creative than the edgy bullshit they ended up actually doing.

Btw if they ever end up making a week 6 replacement I foresee it being the gayest shit like something out of Dream Daddy, after all that would be the only option for them if they want to stick with the context of the actual week.

So at someone point someone decided to make a mod out of the old famous creepy pasta "Suicide Mouse".

And just like the original source material (and first game) it was pretty shitty but a mod was made to upgrade it and I have to say that they did a pretty good job tbh.

For some reason they added voice acting at the start and for some reason they made the reason for why Mickey is suicidal is because cucked him Minnie instead of just being ambiguous like the original.

And that segways well into why I'm talking about all this in this post, the Fnf community did what it does best.

The mod must have been too much for Twitter user audience of Fnf so they decided to make a pussfied version of it and of course it's set in the Soft mod universe.
