From - paranormal horror mystery show on Prime/MGM+..Season 2 right now

Season 4 pacing has been perfect imo. One more episode of season finale and there's been a lot of plot / reveal all season and the interaction with the so far main antagonist Man in yellow.

I will say part of me thinks the man in yellow is also just a player in the game with what's been said. His observance of various rituals and with him being sophia he's not some omnipresent figure. He doesn't know what's happening unless people tell him and on some level he has to make sacrifices for his 'magic' or whatever to work. I've also never seen him really interact with the nightmare face suckers cause he's only been seen eating people during the daytime.

Episode 9 of Nothing Ever Fucking Happens lives up the name. Was the set up for Fat Chick actually set up? Sure seemed like they pulled that out entirely of their ass, it actually made me kind of mad because it really did feel like the writers just up and decided to add something out of nothing.

I've recently been rewatching Lost and it's easy to draw comparisons between the two shows, they both rely on the mystery box premise. The thing is Lost was always doing something, even the worst of episodes (looking at you 'Jack gets a tattoo') there was a decent B plot of characters you gave a shit about were doing something. I just don't give a shit about the vast majority of these characters and the ones they do highlight are the least likeable.

This episode had minimal Donna, 3/10.

Season finale is frustrating in one sense...I want more.

If you're not watching and reading this you're retarded. But the fatima resolution is very satisfying to witness and the obvious but again satisfying "confrontation" between BIW and MIY at the end does add to the lore of this town lost in time.

Not too bad a season ending I suppose? I’m grading on a curve though at this point.
My biggest problem is that this whole season was poorly paced and plotted. A viewer could get by with just watching episodes 1, 5 and 10 of this season and not really lose anything.

I'm so pissed. I tolerated the nothing happening for nine episodes, thinking "surely this is building up to a great season ender where everything happens", and then the season ended with nothing happening! Victor didn't die, the yellow suit didn't get found out... Nothing happened except inconsequential red lightning. And the monster's mother is a monster.

Really feels like they had one season of plot left and decided to stretch it out into two.

Agreed the entire lake subplot served zero purpose. But I assume that and all of the story walking bullshit will be barely resolved in the final season after they introduce another half dozen red herrings. Thinking back they have a lot of weird plot lines to resolve since introducing time contrivances. Like the three people from the town ending up trapped in the lighthouse. As well as the idea there is someone above The Man in Yellow controlling everything. Since originally I thought he was the voice on the radio but after his/her reaction to the events of the final episode of season four I have doubt. If this all ends up being some play on "I Have No Mouth" I am going to loose it.

Finished marathoning the entire series up to the season 4 finale and here's my two cents.

I pray to GOD that there's only one more season of this because it can't go on anymore. They're having to bring in the fat chick into doing the MIY Foid's doing with zero backstory given to how their agreement even formed. (Guess that'll be for season 5.) Alot of resolutions are being brought together and I really can't stand another plot point to go nowhere.

My theory
is the Man in yellow is a Lucifer/devil like demon who is responsible for putting people into this purgatory land where reality is twisted. My thought is that the demon is stuck on earth so he has nothing else to do but fuck with people.

The original 1950s dressed residents of the town must have made a deal with the demon to live forever and got themselves possessed with demons. Along the way, the demon convinced residents to sacrifice their kids so that there would be this endless cycle of reincarnation and people constantly entering the town. The demon also feeds on human flesh so he needs people to survive. The sacrifice of children was a ritual and is bounded by the land. Once they fucked with the graves, hell broke loose in the final episode.

So the MIY has a constant supply of human flesh to stay alive and he constantly fucks with people because its his only entertainment. He sees things as a game so he plays with his food and probably gets off on humans losing hope.

Not sure what the kid in white is, I guess he represents the kids getting killed and managed to communicate with people.

This pissed me off so much, it came out of nowhere. I even went back over the season 4 episodes thinking I had missed one where it was explained how this happened, but nope, the writers just pulled it out their asses.

I've been watching this show since the first season and it's honestly sad to see it going downhill. The first season was so great until the last episode

In good news, season 5 is confirmed to be the last one, I hope they manage to wrap it up in some kind of satisfying way.

They fumbled the Christ chick being the MIY reveal so badly. It should have been a mystery for most of the season. Her being being weird and spooky for a few episodes and then it being revealed who she was would have been far more effective, but instead they showed it from the beginning and it honestly ruined it for me.
